Wallpaper You can change the Wallpaper background of your home and lock screens by following these steps 1 From the main Settings screen tap Wallpaper 2 Select the screen or screens that you would like to modify Select Home screen Lock screen or Home and lock screens 3 Scroll through the wallpaper thumbnails located at the bottom of the screen Tap the one you want 4 Itis displayed on your screen 5 Tap Done The new wallpaper is saved Lock Screen Settings Choose settings for unlocking your screen For more information about using the lock and unlock features see Locking and Unlocking the Touch Screen on page 12 Screen Lock 1 From the main Settings screen tap ca Lock screen 2 Tap Screen lock for these options then follow the onscreen instructions to set up your Screen lock Swipe Swipe the screen to unlock it e Pattern A screen unlock pattern is a touch gesture you create and use to unlock your device Follow the prompts to create or change your screen unlock pattern e Fingerprint You can select any finger and use the fingerprint to unlock your screen Place your finger in the marked area and repeatedly move your finger down over the home key until the bar reaches 100 e PIN Select a PIN to use for unlocking the screen e Password Create a password for unlocking the screen e None No pattern PIN or password is required The screen will never lock Lock screen optio

3. 2 Locate a contact from the list 3 In a single motion touch and drag your finger over the number by going to the right This action places a call to the recipient Running a Call in the Background If you exit the current call screen and return to the Home screen you are visually notified that you are still on an active Call by the phone icon within the Status bar This is the best way to stay on your current call and do something else multi task such as access the Contacts list view a recent email locate a picture and so forth m Tap the onscreen reactivate button to return to the currently active call In Call Notification Making an International Call 1 From the Home screen tap N then touch and hold 0 The character appears 2 Use the onscreen keypad to enter the country code area code and phone number e f you make a mistake tap EJ until the desired numbers have been deleted 3 Tap to make the call Manual Pause Dialing To manually call a number with pause s without storing it in your Contacts list 1 From the Home screen tap W and use the onscreen keypad to enter the phone number 2 Press H to display the dialer sub menu 3 Tap Add 3 sec pause to add a three second pause and use the keypad to enter the additional numbers Tip You can create pauses longer than three seconds by entering multiple three second pauses Select Add wait to add a wait A wait will pause the calling sequ

Block unknown senders When active automatically blocks incoming messages from unknown sources or blocked numbers e Delay message sending Allows you to set a time delay limit that determines how long the messages are held until they are sent This can allow you to cancel the delivery of a recent message e Safe mode Allows you to set security parameters for Messages Choose from Allow access to all links and Potential threat alerts Emergency Alerts This device is designed to receive wireless emergency alerts from the Commercial Mobile Alerting System CMAS which may also be known as the Personal Localized Alerting Network PLAN If your wireless provider has chosen to participate in CMAS PLAN alerts are available while in the provider s coverage area If you travel outside your provider s coverage area wireless emergency alerts may not be available For more information please contact your wireless provider Emergency Alerts allows customers to receive geographically targeted messages Alert messages are provided by the US Department of Homeland Security and alert customers of imminent threats to their safety within their area There is no charge for receiving an Emergency Alert message There are three types of Emergency Alerts Alerts issued by the President Alerts involving imminent threats to safety of life Extreme and Severe AMBER Alerts missing child alert Note Alerts issued by the President

Setting search feature 1 2 3 Note From the main Settings screen tap g Enter a word or words in the Search box As you type settings that match will appear on the screen Tap an entry to go to that setting If the word you entered does not find any matches No results found will be displayed Quick Settings Quick settings are all of the settings that you most frequently use When you first access the Settings menu the Quick settings are set to a default list of settings To modify the Quick settings display with your most frequently used settings follow these steps 1 From the main Settings screen tap H gt Edit quick settings 2 Scroll thru all of the settings and tap the settings icons that you want in your Quick settings menu The settings that are already in the Quick settings menu are highlighted Tap a highlighted item to remove it from the Quick settings menu 3 Tap Save to save your new Quick settings menu Changing Your Settings 131 Connections Wi Fi Settings In this menu you can activate or deactivate Wi Fi and connect to a Wi Fi network For information on Wi Fi see Wi Fi on page 79 Bluetooth In this menu you can activate Bluetooth view or assign a device name activate your phone so other Bluetooth devices can discover it or scan for other available Bluetooth devices with which to pair For more information refer to Bluetooth on page 84 132 Airplane mode Airplane
