34. chemical detergents T hese can damage the case 70 Maintaining and T rangporting the Projector Cleaning and Replacing the Air Filter Clean the air filter and air intake and exhaust vents on the bottom and rear of the projector after every 100 hours of use If they are not cleaned periodically they can become clogged with dust preventing proper ventilation This can cause overheating and damage the projector W hen thefilter and vents are clogged the projector displays the message The projector is overheated To clean the air filter and air vents follow these steps 1 Turn off the projector allow it to cool down and unplug the power cord 2 Clean the air vent on the back of the projector 3 Turn the projector upside down and clean the filter and air intake vents on the base of the projector To clean thefilter and air vents Epson recommends using asmall vacuum cleaner designed for computers and other office equipment If you don t have one gently clean them using a very soft brush such as an artist s brush Air vent Air vents If the dirt is difficult to remove or if the filter is torn replace it Contact your dealer or call Epson at 800 873 7766 to obtain a new one T he air filter set part number V 13H 134A06 contains two filters In Canada please call 800 463 7766 to locate a dealer M aintaining and T rangporting the Projector 4 If you need to replace the filter slide it off as shown 5
