4. date 16 JAN 14 14 33 33 RECTO Process Black Pfizer Ophthalmology Yal Ease Delivery aid for administering XALATAN and XALACOM Ophthalmic Solutions 8R3591 502 Please consult the Xalatan and Xalacom instructions for further information on the use of your eyedrops INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE XAL EASE is an aid used for the delivery of XALATAN or XALACOM to the eye s The delivery aid holds a bottle of XALATAN or XALACOM and when properly used it will help you position the bottle over the eye to deliver a drop of the medication into the eye A bottle cap opener is provided in the carton with the delivery aid The bottle cap opener allows for removal of the cap from the bottle of eye drops after the bottle is placed in the delivery aid The supplies you will need in order to use the delivery aid are shown in Figure 1 eye cup opening in back TIN couvercle coiffant of aid t J bouchon du flacon Q bottom Y ll of aid G Delivery Aid Bottle Cap Opener Bottle type A XALATAN Bottle type B or XALACOM XALATAN only Figure 1 Before you administer the eye drops wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water Preparing the aid for use Bottle type A XALATAN OR XALACOM has 2 caps as shown in Figure 1 a winged overcap and a white bottle cap for XALATAN a yellow bottle cap for XALACOM Remove only the overcap from the bottle of XALATAN or XALACOM by slightly twisting it with your

6. fingers so the overcap breaks away from the bottle Discard the overcap Bottle type B XALATAN has only a bottle cap and so no overcap needs to be removed Insert the bottle into the opening in the back of the delivery aid Be sure the bottle is pushed fully into the delivery aid Figures 2 and 3 Figure 2 Figure 3 Turn the delivery aid so the cap on the bottle of eye drops is facing you Remove the cap from the bottle by unscrewing it using the bottle cap opener Figure 4 Alternatively the cap can be removed with your fingers Figure 4 Placing the delivery aid over the eye area Tilt your head back Place the forefinger of your free hand at the top of your cheek and pull your lower eyelid down slightly Using your other hand place the eye cup of the delivery aid over the eye area so it rests on your skin Be sure your head is tilted back far enough so that the aid is directly over your eye This will allow for proper delivery of the drop of XALATAN or XALACOM Figure 5 Figure 5 Administering the eye drops When the eye cup is in place look upward and press the button until one drop is released from the bottle and enters the eye Promptly remove your finger from the button to avoid the release of additional drops Figure 6 Figure 6 Handling the aid following use After removing the delivery aid from the eye area replace the bottle cap using the bottle cap opener or your fingers The delivery aid should
