2. e The fan may stay on after the Self Cleaning cycle ends until the oven example for 7 00 stop time cavity reaches a certain temperature YOU SEE LOCKED To stop the Self Cleaning cycle PRESS YOU SEE at any time If the oven temperature is too high for OFF mm Om baking roasting when you press the Off CANCEL SRT Cancel pad cln TIMED ON cool and S LOCKED will appear on the display until single ovens the oven cools OR UPPER OFF LOWER OFF double ovens 39 USING THE SELF CLEANING CYCLE Special tips e Keep the kitchen well ventilated during the Self Cleaning cycle to help get rid of heat odors and smoke e After the oven is cool wipe up any residue or ash with a damp cloth or sponge If any spots remain clean with a mild abrasive cleanser or cleaning sponge e Clean the oven before it gets heavily soiled Cleaning a very soiled oven takes longer and results in more smoke than usual e If the Self Cleaning cycle does not get the oven as clean as you expected the cycle may not have been set long enough or you may not have prepared the oven properly Set the Self Cleaning cycle longer the next time and hand clean areas noted on page 33 How the cycle works The Self Cleaning cycle uses very high heat to burn away soil and grease During the cycle the oven gets much hotter than it does for normal baking or broiling This high heat breaks up the soil or grease

Canceling a function The Off Cancel pad will cancel any function except for the Clock UPPER CANCEL and Timer Set func tions When you press Ea the Off Cancel pad EJ display will show single ay the time of day or if ovens Minute Timer is also being used the time remaining NOTE You may hear a fan blowing in the oven even after you press the Off Cancel pad This is the cooling fan It will turn off when the oven cools to a certain temperature Setting the clock NOTE Displays shown are from single upper ovens Command pads shown are from double ovens In some cases lower oven displays and single oven command pads may look different than those shown 1 Press Clock pad 2 Set time Press the up A or down Y pad s until the correct time shows on the display 3 Start clock NOTE If you do not want the clock time displayed press and hold the Clock pad for 5 seconds To display the clock time again press and hold the Clock pad for 5 seconds You should not have to reset the time PRESS YOU SEE CLOCK last time of day set PRESS YOU SEE example for 5 30 PRESS YOU SEE Using the electronic Minute Timer The Minute Timer does not start or stop the oven It works like a kitchen timer It can be set in hours and minutes up to 12 hours 59 minutes The Minute Timer will display minutes and seconds for settings under one hour You will hear four 1 second

Disconnect appliance at the main power the oven door is closed press the Oven supply Light Pad va on the control panel AWARNING Electrical Shock Hazard e Make sure oven and light bulb are cool and power to the oven has been turned off before replacing the light bulb 2 Remove glass light cover by grasping e The light cover must be in place when rear or back edge of cover and pulling it using the oven The cover protects away from the side wall of the oven the bulb from breaking and from high 3 Remove the light bulb from its socket oven temperatures Because the light Replace the bulb with another halogen cover is made of glass be careful not bulb 12 volt 5 watt maximum available to drop it at most hardware stores Failure to follow the above could result 4 Replace the light cover by snapping it in electrical shock burns or injury from back into wall Reconnect appliance at broken glass main power supply NOTE The oven lights will not work during the Self Cleaning cycle 42 Troubleshooting Most cooking problems often are caused by little things you can find and fix without tools of any kind Check the lists below and on the next page before calling for assistance or service If you still need help see Requesting Assistance or Service on page 45 If nothing operates check the following Is the oven wired into a live circuit with the proper voltage See Installation Instructions Py Have you

MEALTIMER pads pads enter cancel only pads control pads pad pads ip 9 p 20 p 9 pP 10 Display clock e When you first plug in the oven every thing on the display will light up for a few seconds then a time of day and PF will appear on the temperature display If after you set the clock page 10 PF again appears on the display your electricity was off for a while Reset the clock e When you are not using the oven the control is an accurate clock e When you are using the oven or Minute Timer the display will show times tem perature settings and what command pads have been pressed USING YOUR OVEN When showing the time of day the display will show the hour and minutes e When you are using the Minute Timer the display will show hours minutes and seconds in the following sequence For settings from 1 59 minutes the display will count down each second minutes and seconds displayed For settings 1 hour or over the display will count down each minute hours and minutes displayed e When you are using Cook Time and or Stop Time the display stop Will show cooking time TIME counting down For settings from 1 59 minutes the display will count down each second minutes and seconds displayed For settings 1 hour or over the display will count down each minute hours and minutes displayed Command pads The command pads tell the oven what to do and in what
