M ACCIDENTAL OPERATION Make sure that the Power Switch Trigger is in the off position and unplug the appliance from its electrical outlet before performing any procedure in this section Note For additional information regarding the parts listed in the following pages refer to the Assembly Diagram near the end of this manual Assembly Install Guard 1 CAUTION TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL CUTS Cover the Trimming Blade 39 with the Blade Cover 40 before installing the Guard 2 Align Guard 42 over Housing as shown in Figure A Screw 25 WARNING TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY FROM FLYING DEBRIS AND PIECES OF TRIMMING LINE Install the guard only in the orientation shown 3 Attach Guard to Housing using 4 Screws 25 Install Auxiliary Handle 1 Position Auxiliary Handle over Handle Bracket 14 2 Install Locking Knob 15 and tighten it in place to secure the Handle 3 Loosen the Locking Knob and move the Auxiliary Handle to the desired position WARNING Tighten the Locking Knob after adjustment Locking Knob 15 Auxiliary Handle Handle Bracket 14 Figure B Auxiliary Handle Installation Page 6 For technical questions please call 1 888 866 5797 Item 62338 Install Edge Guide 1 Snap Edge Guide 21 into holes on both sides of Housing as shown in Figure 2 Use the Edge Guide to limit striking objects with the Line while trimming nearby
