1. dust Wood dust and chips in a confined area can give rise to fire or an explosion Guard against possible ignition sources Do not pick up anything that is burning or smouldering such as metal grinding dust cigarette ends hot coals matches or similar The appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without supervision Young children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance Use only manufacturer s recommended attachments and consumables Never modify the cleaner in any way this is dangerous and will invalidate the warranty Do not use cleaner without dustbag in place If motor sound becomes higher pitched always check for the following Blocked hose or accessory Blocked filter Full container Never try to move the cleaner by pulling with the mains lead Always check that the filter is clear and not blocked Keep all openings clear of any blockages When lifting the unit always lift it with the handle or under rim of bucket Beware of excess weight Always switch the unit off before changing attachments or connecting different power tools Always disconnect equipment from the appliance when it is not in use This machine is for dry use only and should not be used or stored outdoors in wet conditions This is not a trade tool and is designed for house hold applications and home handy man conditions CAUTION This machine is not suitable for picking

5. appropriate waste disposal container 4 Replace the lid ensuring that both retaining clips are fastened plug in and continue as before Replacing the filter WARNING Always ensure that the tool is switched off and the plug is removed from the power point before making any adjustments or maintenance procedures Your filter should be cleaned often to maintain peak performance 1 Squeeze the filter bag clip 6b in on itself 2 Remove the filter bag 6a from the filter cage 3 To clean the filter bag 6a gently brush away small dirt particles that may have stuck to the material 4 After cleaning check the filter thoroughly for tears or small holes Do not use a filter with tears or holes in it Even a small hole can cause a lot of dust to come out of your vacuum Replace it immediately Before installing the filter on the vacuum clean the area of the lid so that the filter bag clip 6b will seal the bag against the lid and stop small particles from bypassing the filter bag 6 Squeeze the filter bag clip in on itself and place the replacement filter bag on the filter cage until the open end touches the bottom of the lid Note To avoid damage to the blower wheel and motor always reinstall the filter before using the vacuum Note Clean the filter in an open area cleaning should be done outdoors WARNING Do not remove the filter cage It is fitted to keep the shape of the filter bag during

11. up Hazardous dust Accessories Dusting Brush Crevice Nozzle Upholstery Nozzle Shoulder Strap Flexible Vacuum Hose Know your product The GMC Dust Extraction System is designed for collecting wood dust generated from cutting and drilling with electric power tools It can also be used as a vacuum cleaner for cleaning dust wood shavings etc from machines and the floor of the working area It is not to be used for the suction of liquids 1 Shoulder Strap 2 Vacuum port 3 Release clips dos 4 Power cord not shown oa MAC 5 Lid 6a Filter bag 6b Filter bag clip 7 Collection drum 8 Power tool adaptors 9 Flexible vacuum hose 10 On off switch 11 Crevice Nozzle 12 Dusting Brush 13 Upholstery Nozzle Operation The GMC 8 litre vacuum dust extraction system comes assembled and ready for use The filter must always be in the correct position to reduce the risk of leaks and possible damage to the vacuum Ensure that the filter is completely covering the filter cage and that the filter bag clip 6b is as close to the lid as possible Ensure there are no gaps between the filter and the lid It is very important to assemble the filter to the cage without allowing any possible leaks or tears Any leaks will allow the picked up debris to be blown out of the blower port and back into the surrounding environment When using your vacuum to pick up very fine dust it will be necessary for
12. you to empty the dust drum and clean or replace the filter at more frequent intervals to maintain peak vacuum performance Use as a Vacuum Vacuuming tips e For crevices corners etc use the crevice nozzle 11 For upholstered furniture use the upholstery nozzle 13 For curtains lightweight fabrics etc use the upholstery nozzle 13 For frames bookshelves etc use the dusting brush 12 Insert the hose into the vacuum port 2 and attach the appropriate nozzle 2 Unwind the power cord fully and connect it to the power point or an extension lead 3 To turn the unit on push the on off switch 10 to the T position 4 To turn the unit off push the on off switch to the O position Use as a dust extraction unit Your GMC Vacuum can also be used as a dust extraction unit Note Do not use this unit for picking up hazardous dust 1 Locate the vacuum port 2 on your vacuum 2 Insert the hose into the vacuum port 3 Attach the other end on the hose onto the dust extraction port on the power tool 4 Turn the vacuum on by pushing the on off switch to the T position Emptying the drum WARNING Take care the tank may be heavier than you think 1 Switch off the unit and unplug from the power point 2 Remove the lid 5 of the vacuum by pulling outward on the release clips 3 on each side of the vacuum Lift off the lid 3 Empty the drum contents into an
