HSCOTT CX 100 DP FM MW PLL RADIO ALARM CLOCK WITH POWER CRADLE Instruction Manual CE amp CR25 SCOTT AMFM ENG indd 1 12 11 2008 16 41 10 PRECAUTIONS Follow the advice below for safe and appropriate operations PLACEMENT Do not use the unit in places which are extremely hot cold dusty or humid Place the unit on a flat and even surface Do not restrict the airflow of the unit by placing it in a place with poor airflow by covering it with a cloth or by placing it on a carpet Do not place the apparatus close to a source of heat Use the apparatus only in moderate climates not in tropical climates Do not expose the apparatus to dripping or splashing Do not place objects filled with liquids such as vases on the apparatus SAFETY When connecting and disconnecting the AC power cord from the AC mains outlet pull the plug and not the cord itself Pulling the cord may damage it and may be dangerous The mains plug must remain easily accessible When you are not going to use the unit for a long period of time disconnect the AC power cord from the AC mains outlet AC VOLTAGE Before use check that the rated voltage of your unit matches your local voltage D CONDENSATION When there is condensation inside the unit it may not function normally Unplug the unit for 1 to 2 hours before turning the power back on or gradually heat the room up and dry the unit before use Ens

4. event possible battery leakage D 4 Dispose of batteries properly according to environmental regulations Memory backup for time and preset stations During a power failure or while batteries are being replaced the unit can save the time and preset stations for a maximum time of 60 seconds GB3 CR25 SCOTT AMFM ENG indd 4 12 11 2008 16 41 13 BASIC OPERATION ON Standby mode After connecting the power supply refer to POWER SUPPLY the unit is in standby mode and the clock time is displayed Press the 69 button to turn on the unit and press it again to go to standby mode Clock and Alarm time setting Press the button and the hour digits will flash Press the TUNE SET button to set the hours Press the button to confirm the setting and the minute digits will flash Press the TUNE SET button to set the minutes Press the button again to confirm the clock time setting You will automatically go into alarm time setting mode The hour digits will flash 6 Repeat steps 2 to 4 above to set the alarm time ig ONS Alarm operation This unit allows you to wake up by buzzer or radio 1 To adjust the alarm time follow the steps in Clock and Alarm time setting 2 To select the buzzer 4 or radio G mode press the ALARM MODE button The corresponding alarm mode indicator will light up on the LCD display 3 When the preset alarm time is reached the alarm will sound in the selected alarm mode 4
