For optimum filtration and maximum hygiene it is advisable to use a paper vacuum bag in addition to the standard cloth bag 2 5 Fitting the hose handle wand and floor tool accessories e Insert the hose into the socket on the front of the vacuum cleaner Fig 4 Fig 1 2 4 Fitting the paper vacuum bag e fit the paper vacuum bag simply insert it Valet into the cloth bag making sure that the in cardboard disc is centred on the flexible sealing ring When you replace the lid the Fig 4 short nozzle in the centre of the lid will be Fit the handle to the wand connection Fig 5 forced into the central hole of the cardboard disc of the paper vacuum bag thus providing a tight seal Make sure the paper vacuum bag is tightly secured over the short nozzle before vacuuming Fig 2 Fig 5 e Fit the telescopic wand to the floor tool or accessory Fig 6 Fig 2 e After fitting the cloth and paper bag lock the lid down with the two latches Fig 3 Fig 6 e To lengthen the telescopic wand slide the lock and pull the tube out Fig 7 Fig 3 e Always ensure that the vacuum bag is empty before vacuuming Your BackPack vacuum has been fitted with a thermal overload to protect the motor against damage should the airflow be blocked for extended periods This may occur if the vacuum bag is overfull or if the vacuum hose is blocked The vacuum motor will stop before it can get too hot If this happe

13. tenance Before undertaking maintenance operations or adjustments switch off machine and unplug from the electricity supply The machine requires minimum maintenance apart from the following checks by the operator e Supply cord Regularly inspect sheath plug and cord anchorage for damage or loose connection e Body of the vacuum Clean with a damp cloth e Cloth vacuum bag after emptying the vacuum bag turn it inside out and shake as much dust out as possible Always use a paper bag with the cloth bag e Vacuum filter Check the vacuum filters clean and replace as appropriate e Hose wand and vacuum accessories Check and remove any debris or lint build up from the head IMPORTANT All other servicing and repairs should only be performed by a Truvox engineer or Authorised Service Agent IMPORTANT Should the machine fail to operate please refer to the fault diagnosis section in the back of the instruction manual If the problem remedy is not listed please contact Truvox Customer Service Department for rapid attention 7 After Sales Service Truvox machines are high quality machines that have been tested for safety by authorised technicians It is always apparent that after longer working periods electrical and mechanical components will show signs of wear and tear or ageing Under extreme or specialised conditions and or insufficient maintenance shorter maintenance intervals are necessary
