OCK RUBBER SWITCH RETAINING RING ion RING RUBBER GUARD COVER To replace the H3 type 12 volt bulb you will need a small Phillips type screwdriver and a replacement bulb Bulb life can be shortened by installing a bulb with dirt or fingerprints on it The bulb can be wiped clean with a cloth moistened with alcohol During bulb installation avoid touching the glass part of the bulb See Figures 1A and 1B for details 1 Disconnect the unit from any charging adapter 2 Push back the rubber bezel toward the back of the spotlight to reveal two small Phillips screws in the retaining ring 3 Using the screwdriver remove counterclockwise the two screws Set them aside 4 Lift off the retaining ring glass lens and rubber O ring and set them aside Ul Carefully remove the reflector and bulb assembly See Figures 2A and 2B 6 Disconnect the bulb wire from the red power wire and set aside the burned out bulb VEC157CL_157CFL Manual 061505 6 29 05 4 22 PM Page 6 p 7 Unsnap the hairpin retaining wires from the reflector s flange additional information you may need They may be reached at 954 584 4446 or 8 Using the screwdriver loosen the retaining screw to remove the bulb from the toll free at 866 584 5504 reflector no need to completely remove this screw 9 Lift out the bulb and the attached wire BATTERY REPLACEMENT DISPOSAL 10 Insert the replacement bulb into the reflector s flange a Batter

WARRANTY PROGRAM This limited warranty program is the only one that applies to this product and it sets forth all the responsibilities of Vector Manufacturing regarding this product There is no other warranty other than those described herein This Vector Manufacturing product is warranted to the original purchaser only to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase without additional charge The warranty does not extend to subsequent purchasers or users Manufacturer will not be responsible for any armount of damage in excess of the retail purchase price of the product under any circumstances Incidental and consequential damages are specifically excluded from coverage under this warranty This product is not intended for commercial use This warranty does not apply to accessories or dange to units from misuse or incorrect installation connection Misuse includes wiring or connecting to improper polarity power sources RETURN REPAIR POLICY Defective products other than accessories may be returned to manufacturer Any defective product other than accessories that is returned to manufacturer within 30 days of the date of purchase will be replaced free of charge If such a product is returned more than 30 days but less than one year from the purchase date manufacturer will repair the unit or at its option replace it free of charge If the unit is repaired new or reconditioned replacement parts m

8. e plug an extension cord into the 120 volt AC charger on the back of the unit and charge until the charge indicator light turns green 4 Recharge until the green LED lights it will take 20 30 hours depending on the discharge of the battery BATTERY CHARGE LEVEL INDICATORS 5 Once recharging is completed disconnect the adapter from the external charging source 6 After AC recharging wait 5 minutes before using spotlight Note This unit is shipped in a partially charged state Initially charge unit using the AC charger To check the battery level press the Battery Status Pushbutton Charge until Battery Status Displays green LED lights Charging Using the 12 Volt DC Charging Adapter The VEC157 can be simultaneously charged and operated froma 12 volt DC source Make sure the 12 volt DC source can supply minimum 15 amperes of current if the spotlight is to be operated while the batteries are being charged To check the battery level press the Battery Status Pushbutton Charge unt Battery Level Displays green LED lights when the Battery Level Display pushbutton is pressed Charge spotight after each use 1 Locate the DC Recharge Port on the bottom of the handle and connect the DC charger to a 12 volt DC source that can supply at least 15 amps of DC current VEC157CL_157CFL Manual 061505 6 29 05 4 22 PM Page 4 2 Recharge for 3 4 hours maximum or until the green Battery Charge Level LED Indicator lights when the Ba
9. ee 877 288 7722 DC PLUG FUSE REPLACEMENT ar BULB The fuse in the DC plug protects the charging circuit of the DC recharge adapter If the AC recharger operates butthe DC charging adapter does not then the fuse may be opened To replace the fuse REFLECTOR 1 Unscrew the end cap of the DC plug counterclockwise Remove spring center contact and fuse Check fuse with a continuity checker If blown locate replacement fuse with same type and rating PERIODIC MAINTENANCE All batteries lose charge with time especially when they are warm AC recharge is recommended every two months when not in frequent use Use the AC recharger and charge for the recommended tine If the unit gets dirty gently clean the outer surfaces of the spotight unit with a soft cloth moistened with a mild solution of water and detergent Periodically inspect the condition of recharge adapters connectors TROUBLESHOOTING and wires Replace any components that may have become worn or broken Replace the fuse spring contact and end cap Screw end cap clockwise until it is finger tight DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN Check for proper operation of DC charger adapter NO UU AUN e No red charge light If LED t h hargi the following PARTS REPLACEMENT red does not turn on when charging do the following A Check for bad connection to the spotlight recharge port B Check for bad connection to AC or DC adapters C Confirm there is a functioning AC or DC curre
