User manual for safety plug SP25 12 amp SP25 17 Date 23 02 2015 Installation 1 Read the specifications for the relevant light fixtures before mounting the safety plug and check that it is in accordance with the Ex certificate for the luminaire Consider what type you need 12mm or 17mm length of thread Remove one of the blind plugs A amp B Install the secure plug with notched locking nut on the inside of the lamp C amp D Tighten the nut from the inside D and check the o ring for damage after assembly E When mounting in luminaires of nonconductive material there shall be earth connection between safety plug and earth connection inside the lighting fixture Installed in electrical equipment with 25mm entrance hole only Installation of secondary barrier L Use a lockable carbine hook to attach the safety wire to the safety plug Adjust the length of a safety wire and mount this in nearby structure or suitable location A secondary barrier is now established F Breaking strength of the eye is tested to XXX kg Maintenance Safety plugs that showing traces mechanical wear or host exposed to impact or deformation should not be used Mounted safety plugs with such damage should be replaced with new ones If safety plugs is disassembled and reused in another place the locknut and o ring shall be replaced According to standards IEC 60079 0 2011 EN 60079 0 2012 IEC 60079 7 2006 E
