1. e gt REDDIFAST py O o WW ROLIND lo LEARER MAKES LIGHT WORK OF CLEARING UNDERGROWTH USER MANUAL FOR THE REDDIFAST GROUND CLEARER INTRODUCTION The Reddifast Ground Clearer is a unique British designed and manufactured machine with a 6hp Briggs amp Stratton engine It has been designed for the very specific function of clearing overgrown land It is of robust construction and very fit for purpose The machine is certified with the C Declaration of Conformity PLEASE READ THIS LEAFLET BEFORE USING THE MACHINE AND RETAIN FOR FUTURE REFERENCE USER INSTRUCTIONS SAFETY The machine weighs approximately 38 kg If necessary obtain assistance to remove from packaging Take care when lifting the machine It is recommended that the operator wears heavy shoes gloves and safety glasses at all times when using the machine CAUTION DO NOT PUT HANDS OR FEET IN THE PROXIMITY OF THE CUTTING BLADE WHEN OPERATING THE MACHINE During operation the machine may displace small stones which can be discharged at high velocity under the guard People and animals should NOT be in close proximity to the machine while in use Always check BEFORE USE that the blade is NOT in contact with the guard and that the cutting blade has free clearance Before starting the machine make sure you have unleaded petrol in the fuel tank and that there is oil in the sump do not over fill NEVER remove the rubber safety curtain at the back of2. the machine To immediately stop the machine while in use release the safety handle STARTING THE MACHINE Switch on the fuel tap Hold up the black handle to the chrome handle this releases the brake on the engine and allows the blade to turn Pull the starter cord If engine fails to start repeat the process FAULT FINDING DIAGNOSTIC If the machine does not start you may have flooded the spark plug Remove the plug and dry off If the Ground Clearer suffers loss of power stop the machine Remove the air filter and clean it Refit the filter and restart the machine AFTER USE STORAGE Clean the exterior of the machine with warm soapy water using a soft brush or cloth It is good practice to wash off with a hose pipe especially to remove the build up of grass around the blade housing and the underside of the engine TAKE CARE WHEN CLEANING AROUND THE BLADE AREA Store the Ground Clearer in a dry place To assist storage the handle will fold down flat when the handle wing nuts are loosened GUARANTEE Reddifast Steels Ltd guarantees this product against manufacturing defects We will repair or replace at our discretion if a manufacturing defect occurs within the guarantee period This is subject to the correct use of the machine The guarantee period is 1 year from date of purchase to cover parts and labour To obtain a repair under the guarantee please contact Reddifast THE GUARANTEE WILL NOT APPLY IF You cannot
