3. 2014 Laser Technology Inc All rights reserved Unauthorized duplication in whole or in part is strictly prohibited Continuous Mode 1 To begin tap to turn continuous mode on in the laser Figure 32 Page 15 This button will toggle to the on view of and the continuous mode indicator will display designated by the arrow on Figure 35 2 With the target vehicle in sight press the Eo icon in the lower left hand corner of the screen to begin firing and taking measurements This button will toggle to a stop view once firing is initiated Like regular speed mode pressing the Fire button on the TruSpeed laser will also work with SpeedCapture for taking measurements 3 To stop firing and take an image tap ei stop NOTE Because the laser understand the release of the Fire button as the indication to stop taking measurements and display the last one firing can only be stopped by pressing ei on the app 4 The measurement and image will display Figure 36 Enforce Enforce Figure 35 Figure 36 NOTE Each time you begin enforcing with SpeedCapture you must ensure that the Bluetooth icon is white upper right corner of the scree This means the laser and app are communicating properly Upon tapping Enforce the connection may take a moment to set If it does not set automatically you can manually set it by tapping the Bluetooth icon and selecting your laser If you attempt to press buttons on the app when the app

SpeedCapture app SpeedCapture does not currently support the use of the laser while in survey mode For more information on how to switch modes with the laser device please refer to the user s manual that shipped with the laser 14 LaserSoft SpeedCapture User s Guide 3 Edition for Android Copyright 2014 Laser Technology Inc All rights reserved Unauthorized duplication in whole or in part is strictly prohibited The Enforce main screen is shown below Figure 32 FS a 53 3 21 PM Enforce Description of Enforce screen e Ensure that the Bluetooth icon 3 in the upper right hand corner of the screen is white to verify that the laser and phone are communicating properly If after a few moments it is still black tap it for available devices e Tap the 2 icon to view a quick reference guide to the app or access a link to download the full user s guide e Tap the icon turn continuous mode on D and off in the laser This button active only when a laser is connected e When a measurement is captured MPH will display the offender s speed F will display the range of the vehicle at the time the speed measurement was recorded e The crosshairs in the middle of the screen are displayed exactly the same as what is seen if looking directly through the scope of the laser Figure 32 e Tap the ia icon to take a speed measurement and photo of whatever is in the crosshairs when in regular

12. have been entered SpeedCapture is ready to begin taking speed measurements To begin tap Enforce from the SpeedCapture main menu Figure 30A 1 Tap Enforce from the SpeedCapture Main Screen to begin an enforcement session Figure 31A 2 SpeedCapture will display a map with current location marked by a pin Figure 31B Depending on degree of accuracy of the phone tablet and whether or not WIFI is used the pin may not be notating the exact position settings If the pin must be moved to a more precise location you may tap and hold to Settings lift the pin and drag it to move Lifting your finger from the screen will drop the pin in the new location Figure 31C This location nearest address and long lat is assigned to the current enforcement session and will be displayed on saved log records 3 Tap Enforce at the bottom left corner of the map screen when satisfied with the pin location The Enforce screen will display SpeedCapture LAERE TECHNOLOGY www lasertech com If desired the location may be entered manually in Settings Page 5 Figure 31 A GPS long lat may display and is an option that can be turned off in Settings at lt nterce ae ANS ve a ws pe Figure 31 B Figure 31 C NOTE The laser is designed to take speed measurements in various different modes speed mode weather mode continuous mode and survey mode Speed weather and continuous modes are utilized by the
13. speed mode When the laser is in continuous mode tap Col to begin firing the laser and tap Co to stop firing and take the measurement photo e Tap the o icon to clear out any existing measurement and returns SpeedCapture back the Enforce screen to take a new speed measurement e Tap the oa icon to save a speed measurement with image to the phone s photo gallery or sent it via email text etc to another officer photo with embedded speed distance date time only e Tap the E icon in the lower right hand corner to save the measurement to the logs and add details about the offender and offending vehicle e Tap the back button on the Android phone to close the Enforce screen and return the SpeedCapture main screen to review edit the current settings review download saved logs or to exit the app Taking Measurements SpeedCapture functionality allows for enforcement records to be taken with the laser in two different firing modes This section explains the operation of SpeedCapture in each mode e Single Shot Speed Mode In single shot speed mode officers can view traffic through the scope of the laser fire the laser at a vehicle and receive a record that includes image with the embedded measurement information speed range date time e Continuous Mode In continuous mode officers can view traffic while the laser is firing and displaying measurements but the image is not taken until the officer chooses For example
