EMOVING THE ATTACHMENTS Switch off the mixer and unplug from the socket Scrape off any mixture with a rubber spatula Take hold of the stems of the attachments and press the eject button to release them CARE AND CLEANING Always ensure the mixer is switched off and unplugged from the socket before cleaning Wash the attachments in warm soapy water or in the cutlery basket of your dishwasher Rinse well and dry Wipe the mixer with a damp cloth then dry CAUTION never immerse the mixer in water and never attempt to wash the attachments without removing them from the mixer first HELPFUL HINTS e To avoid splattering lower the beaters into the food before switching the mixer on Lift the beaters out of the mixing bowl after switching the mixer off e f you need to add extra ingredients switch off the mixer and rest on its heel with the beaters over your mixing bowl to catch any drips e The mixer is designed to run for up to 10 minutes at a time Switching off and letting the mixer rest for at least 10 minutes will allow the motor to cool down before starting again After the mixer has been switched off the beaters will continue to move for a short while so please take care RECYCLING YOUR ELECTRICALS Along with many other high street retailers Lakeland has joined a scheme whereby customers can take their unwanted electricals to recycling points set up around the country Visit www recycle more co uk to find your nearest rec

TIME Carefully unpack the mixer and remove any packaging Wash the stainless steel beaters and dough hooks in warm soapy water or in the cutlery basket of your dishwasher Rinse well and dry ADDING THE ATTACHMENTS Always ensure the mixer is unplugged before inserting any attachments Push the beaters or dough hooks into the openings until they click firmly into place Do not use a mixture of attachments PLEASE NOTE the dough hook with the metal collar only fits into the opening on the left hand side as shown below ae 04 gt ane Dough hook with metal collar MIXING A kitchen essential the hand mixer saves a good deal of time and work when whisking cream egg whites batter and cake mix and making pastry and dough The beaters incorporate air into light fluffy mixtures whilst the dough hooks are designed for heavier thicker mixtures 1 Set the speed switch to 0 before plugging in the mixer 2 The mixer has 5 speed settings We recommend starting at low speed to avoid splattering or splashing then gradually increasing speed Level 1 to begin mixing Levels 2 3 to fold stir mix and beat especially dough pastry and cake mixture Levels 4 5 to whisk egg whites batter and cream 3 For an extra burst of speed and power press the turbo button This allows you to mix more quickly or to increase the speed during heavy duty tasks Please do not hold the turbo button for longer than 5 minutes ae R

5. g the plug cover check that there are no cut or stray strands of wire inside the plug Use a 3 amp BS1362 fuse Only BSI or ASTA approved fuses should be used If you are at all unsure which plug or fuse to use always refer to a qualified electrician Note after replacing or changing a fuse on a moulded plug which has a fuse cover the cover must be refitted to the plug the appliance must not be used without a fuse cover If lost replacement fuse covers can be obtained from an electrical shop This appliance complies with the following EEC Directives 73 23 EEC Low Voltage Directive and 89 336 EEC EMC Directive 0002
6. ycling point A MK Hand Mixer IB 0002 Layout 1 25 2 10 17 35 Page 7 ae ae ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED This appliance is fitted with a fused three pin plug to BS1363 which is suitable for use in all homes fitted with sockets to current specifications If the fitted plug is not suitable for your socket outlets it should be cut off and carefully disposed of To avoid an electric shock do not insert the discarded plug into a socket Fitting a new plug If for any reason you need to fit a new plug the flexible mains lead must be connected as shown here The wires in the mains lead fitted to this appliance are coloured in accordance with the following code Earth green yellow Neutral blue Live brown Connect BLUE to Neutral N Connect GREEN amp YELLOW to Earth E Connect BROWN to Live L 3 amp fuse to be used If the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance do not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug proceed as follows The wire which is coloured green and yellow MUST be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter E Earth or coloured green The wire which is coloured blue MUST be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N Neutral or coloured black The wire which is coloured brown MUST be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L Live or coloured red Before refittin
