1. Installing Your J essops MultiMedia Card Reader Writer on Windows XP Please read this entire installation guide prior to installing the software for the J essops reader It is recommended that these instructions be printed for reference during the installation process By continuing to install this software you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the terms of the Software License Agreement located below The software may be obtained from a link following the Software License Agreement Installing the drivers 1 10 11 12 Begin by downloading the compressed zipped driver file to the root directory of your hard drive In most cases this will be C Now right click the downloaded file file will have an icon consisting of a folder with a zipper and select Extract All from the drop down menu This will deploy the Extraction Wizard Click Next to continue This will generate a new window in which you will be asked to Select a Destination The default location C filename where C represents the root directory of your hard drive and filename represents the name of the file that you are extracting will be highlighted Click Next to begin extracting the drivers You will now see a window informing you that the extraction was complete Remove the check from the Show extracted files check box Click Finish to complete the extraction process This process has created a folder on your hard drive with the s2. ame name as the file that you had originally downloaded The folder will appear without the zipper icon This newly created folder will contain the Windows XP driver files for your J essops reader Now connect the USB plug of your Jessops reader to the USB port on your computer This will deploy the Found New Hardware Wizard which will ask you what you would like the wizard to do Select Install from a list or specific location Advanced and click Next to continue This will bring you to the Choose your search and installation options menu By default the Search for the best driver in these locations will be selected Now place a check in the Include this location in the search check box and click Next Now the Browse for Folder window will appear Click on the next to My computer and then on the next to C to expand the two listings Listed under C you should see the newly created folder from the previous steps Select this folder and click OK to continue Click Next in the Found New Hardware Wizard window to proceed with the install of the drivers Click Finish in the next window and restart your computer to complete the installation You are now ready to use your Jessops card reader Please refer to the User s Manual for information regarding product usage
