Selecting a ConText and user When you send dictations for speech recognition the Select ConText and User dialog box is displayed with the following fields and buttons User name Your SpeechMagic user name ConTexts button Lists the ConTexts installed for the selected user ConTexts section Select the ConText you want to use Submit When you click this button the selected files are transferred to the SpeechMagic system for recognition using the selected ConText Cancel If you click this button the dialog box will be closed without submitting the selected dictations Recording format and input channel It is sometimes necessary to convert the recording format of the SpeechExec dictations to Philips CELP 16kHz with microphone input channel when they are submitted to SpeechMagic The following formats are automatically converted wma MP3 wav dss files Converted dictation files are saved to the SpeechExec Temp folder the original file remains in its original folder Any other files associated with the dictations such as special instruction files are not converted 85 SpeechExec Pro Transcribe The recognition system When the files have been converted they are sent to the speech recognition system If you have selected more than one dictation the dictations are queued and handled by the SpeechMagic system as separate jobs When all submitted dictations are successfully queued within the SpeechMagic system the

17. conflict occurs when the names of the files are identical but the dictations are different It is possible in a network of many users perhaps sharing folders or when a dictation is copied rather than moved to the Local Work folder for file name conflicts to arise To resolve this conflict the name of the newer file is appended with the suffix 0002 For example your file naming convention is MyName001 dss the file which is more advanced in the workflow or if both are in the same phase the file which was updated most recently becomes MyName001_0002 dss Note If you manually copy or move a dictation Edit menu Move to Folder Copy to Folder the system cannot automatically resolve file name conflicts If you attempt to copy or move a file to a folder where a dictation with the same file name is stored you will be asked if you want to overwrite the existing dictation Move deleted files to the Recycle Bin Activate this option to move files to the Recycle Bin when deleting When you delete a dictation the file is not permanently deleted It can be recovered from the Recycle Bin This setting is only applied to files saved on your local hard disk which are manually deleted 58 SpeechExec Pro Transcribe Notification You can configure how you want to be notified about new dictations in your Intray folder Your Intray folder organizes all your input folders into one simulated overview folder The following options are available N
