3. k 4 8 amp 4 isen Pase a 3 Figure 1 Polmaddiel Board Enterpoint Ltd Polmaddie1 Manual Issue 1 0 11 06 2010 Finding Your VVay Around OSCILLATOR SOCKET HEADER LEFT lO HEADER CPLD PUSH BUTTON SVVITCHES RIGHT 10 HEADER 12 USER LEDS USB INTERFACE DEVICE POWER JACK JTAG CONNECTOR USB ONNECTOR Figure 2 Polmaddiel Features Enterpoint Ltd Polmaddiel Manual Issue 1 0 11 06 2010 Getting Started Your Polmaddiel will be supplied pre programmed with a traffic lights test design The test design vvill allovv the user to determine that the LEDs and the push button svvitches of the Polmaddiel board are working To use this test you must do the following 1 Apply power to the Polmaddiel board either by connecting a SV power supply to the 2 1mm jack socket or by plugging a cable into the USB socket either from a USB power supply adapter or a PC The current consumed by the Polmaddiel running the test program is approximately 60mA 2 The LEDs should light in a traffic lights sequence There is also Power indicator LED which will light to show that power is present and the 3 3V regulator is working 3 Press SVV1 This is the left Push Button switch The traffic lights sequence will reset to the beginning 4 Press SW2 This is the right Push Button switch The traffic lights sequence will pause until the switch is released
