9. display when the RT 20 or the loaded disc does not allow The icon shown at the right appears on the on screen A the selected command AUDIO OUTPUT OPERATION The RT 20 is powered on but there is no audio 1 Deactivate the following playback modes if applicable stop mode resume mode pause mode still frame playback frame by frame playback and slow playback Audio automatically mutes when these playback modes are activated 2 Examine the rear panel to ensure that the required audio con nections have been made 3 Make sure all associated components are powered on and con figured with the correct settings In particular make sure volume is set to an audible level 4 Make sure the RT 20 has a digital and an analog audio output connection Some disc formats such as DVD As and SACDs do not generate digital audio output signals 5 Make sure the RT 20 is not connected to the phono turntable audio input connector on the associated component RT 20 Universal Disc Player Troubleshooting amp Maintenance Clean the loaded disc Clean the RT 20 audio output connectors the associated com ponent audio input connectors and the audio cable plugs to ensure that the connectors and plugs are not dirty or oxidized The RT 20 is powered on but there is no digital audio 1 If the D OFF indicator appears on the front panel display set the Digital Out parameter to On to reactivate the digital audio outp
