3. the manufacturer Never open the AC adapter Always keep the AC adapter dry and never immerse it in liquids otherwise SEVERE DANGER will result Route all cables neatly and safely to avoid tripping Do not connect older flash units which trigger the flash at high voltages Do not drop the device Damage caused by dropping is excluded from the warranty Make sure that there is no pull on cables or connector sockets during operation Keep the following influences away from the device Direct sunlight Direct tungsten light Other devices which emit heat Corrosive liquids or liquid chemicals Strong magnetic fields User s manual TWO FLASH MASK Rev 1 1 Page 4 3 Area of applications The HEILAND TWO FLASH MASK device is designed to distribute one flash synchronisation signal to two separate flash units with a brief time lag between them Any other applications should be co ordinated with Heiland electronic Users manual TWO FLASH MASK Rev 1 1 Page 5 4 Operating principle The HEILAND TWO FLASH MASK works like a switch which is connected to acamera and at least two Studio Flash Units When two exposures are made the camera activates this switch which in turn triggers the two flashes in quick succession both of whose exposures are then recorded by the camera First flash Foreground Shot The synchronising signal which triggers the first Studio Flash Unit illuminates a subject which is positioned in front
