Multimeter Model F07 23 CHAPTER 4 OPERATION 41 Voltage Measurement V 1 Connect the measurement leads to the instrument s terminals complying with the polarities indicated red lead on the termi nal and black lead on the COM terminal 2 Set the rotary switch to the V position 3 Connect the unit to the voltage source to be measured making sure that the voltage does not exceed the maximum acceptable limits see 3 2 1 Range switching and AC DC selection are automatic Short press the yellow button to manually select AC DC or AC DC A If the signal measured is gt 45V peak the audio indication is acti vated if the V Live function is selected see 2 6 2 A For voltages gt 600Vpc or Trms a repetitive beep of the buzzer indicates that the measured voltage is higher than the acceptable safety voltage OL 42 Audio Continuity Test e 1 Connect the measurement cables to the terminals 2 Setthe rotary switch to the oo position 3 Connect the unit to the circuit to be tested The buzzer is contin uously active as soon as contact is established circuit closed and if the resistance value measured is lower than the threshold value chosen by the programming adjustable from 1 to 400 NOTE Above 4000 the display indicates OL 24 Clamp on Multimeter Model F07 4 2 1 Lead Resistance Compensation zero To measure low resistance values measure the lead resistance

9. ct the Adp posi tion on the rotary switch The display indicates the programmed scale factor 1 by default as follows 2 To change the scale factor press the yellow key successively until the required value is obtained 3 Use the rotary switch to save this value 4 9 3 Implementation 1 Connect the adapter to the clamp Program the scale factor if necessary see 84 9 2 Set the rotary switch to position Adp Boe cm Select the type of voltage using the yellow key if necessary AC or DC Clamp on Multimeter Model F07 29 CHAPTER 5 MAINTENANCE Use only factory specified replacement parts AEMC will not be held responsible for any accident incident or malfunction following a repair done other than by its service center or by an approved repair center 5 1 Changing the Battery A Disconnect the instrument from any source of electricity Set the switch to OFF 2 Slide a screwdriver into the slot at the top of the battery cover rear of the clamp and push the battery cover upwards 3 Replace the used battery with a 9V battery type LF22 observing the polarities 4 Installthe battery in its housing then reattach the battery cover 52 Cleaning A Disconnect the instrument from any source of electricity Use a soft cloth lightly dampened with soapy water Rinse with a damp cloth and then dry with a dry cloth Donotsplash water directly on the clamp Donotuse alcoho
