Using reverb in recorded program material gives the listener a sense that the material is being per formed in an actual room or hall It is this similarity to actual acoustic spaces that makes reverber ation a useful tool in recorded music The 155 features genuine Lexicon reverbs whose rich lush effects have been heard in countless songs soundtracks and live performances for decades Reverb Model Knob I selects the Reverb model or acoustic space Press this knob to turn the Reverb models on and off The following models are available 58 Based Fender RO Lexicon Room Twin Reverb HA Lexicon Hall HM Lexicon Ambience PL Based on an EMT240 Plate Lexicon Studio Reverb Knob 2 Knob 3 Knob 4 P4 Model Decay Liveliness Reverb X Edit Level only st 35 36 Section Four Other Functions Phrase Looper The 155 features a built in 20 second Phrase Looper for creating on the fly performance loops of the music you play The Phrase Looper can be accessed any time during performance and used with any of the RP s presets To use the Phrase Looper follow these steps Press and hold the left Down Footswitch for 2 seconds until LP appears in the display The LOOPER LED in the matrix will also light indicating the Looper is now active 2 Arm the Phrase Looper to record by pressing the Down Footswitch again The display will re

Operation Amplifier Connect your guitar to the Input of the RPI55 Connect a single mono instrument cable from the Left Mono output of the RPI55 to the instrument input or effect return on your amplifier Set the Amp Mixer switch to Amp gt Left Mono NOTE When using a Guitar Amp Input Effect Return Output Input guitar amp it may be best to connect the Output of the 55 to the effect return of the amplifier Amp Mixer switch set to Amp Stereo Operation For stereo operation connect the guitar to the Input of the 155 Connect one cable to the 1555 Left Mono output and another cable to the RPI55 s Right output Connect one cable to the input of one amplifier channel of a mixer or power amp Connect the second cable to a second amplifier second channel of a mixer or power amp If connecting to a mixing console set the pan controls of the mixer channels hard left and right in order to retain stereo separation If connecting to a mixer set the Amp Mixer switch to Mixer If connecting to two amplifiers set the Amp Mixer switch to Amp Stereo Amp Setup Guitar Amp Input Effect Returns NOTE When using a guitar amp it may be best to connect the Output of the 155 to the effect return of the amplifier Outputs Amp Mixer switch set to Amp Stereo Mixer Setup

19. ad AR meaning it is armed and ready for you to start playing You can also start recording immediately when this footswitch is pressed 3 Begin playing a phrase on the guitar The Phrase Looper will begin recording anything that is played The display will read 4 Once you are ready to set the loop point press any footswitch The display will briefly read PL and the recorded phrase will now begin playing back 5 To add an overdub to the looped phrase press and hold the left Down Footswitch The display will read 20 While pressing down the Down Footswitch begin playing the overdub phrase to be added to the loop When the Down Footswitch is released the display will briefly flash PL and the looped phrase will continue with the newly added overdub phrase added 6 To stop the Phrase Looper press and release the left Down Footswitch quickly You can resume playback by pressing this footswitch again 7 To clear a recorded loop stop the loop playback first as outlined in step 6 and then press and hold left Down Footswitch for 2 seconds until the display reads LC 8 To exit the Phrase Looper mode press and hold left Down Footswitch for 4 seconds until the display reads LE and then returns to the preset number display While the Phrase Looper is active the left Down Footswitch cannot be used to select presets The right Up Footswitch can still be used navigate through all of the RP s presets To select the next preset up press the right
