1. In live view mode right click the mouse and in the mouse menu select Advanced Search gt Event Select the desired event type from the drop down list Alarm input Motion or Text insertion as well as the start and end time of the recording Select the desired alarm inputs If you selected Motion as the event type select the required alarm inputs If you selected Text insertion select the required alarm inputs and enter the desired keywords 4 Click Search The list of search results appears 5 Play back the search results If there is only one camera in the search result click its playback button Playback starts If there is more than one camera listed click the playback button of one of the cameras In the window that appears select the cameras you want to play back simultaneously and click OK Playback starts To hide the playback control toolbar during playback right click the mouse and select the Control Panel button in the playback control toolbar Click again for the panel to reappear 7 Use the playback control toolbar to manually control playback To play back another camera move the cursor to the right edge of the window to display the list of cameras and select the desired camera To do another search Click the Event Search icon in bottom right of the playback control toolbar or right click the mouse and select Event Search from the list The search window reappears Reselect the

Configuring a remote alarm host lf a remote alarm host set the DVR sends a signal to the host when an alarm is triggered The remote alarm host must have the TruVision Navigator server software installed To set up a remote alarm host 1 From the menu toolbar click Network Settings gt More Settings 2 Enter Alarm Host IP and Alarm Host Port Alarm host IP represents the IP of the remote PC where the Network Video Surveillance software installed The alarm host port value must be the same as software s alarm monitor port Default port is 7200 3 Click Apply to save the settings Configuring multicast Setting up multicasting resolves limitation issues when streaming videos through a network access device A multicast address spans the Class D IP range of 224 0 0 0 to 239 255 255 255 We recommend that the IP address range of 239 252 0 0 to 239 255 255 255 be used TruVision DVR 12 User Manual 39 Chapter 6 Network settings To set up multicasting 1 From the menu toolbar click Network Settings gt More Settings 2 Enter a Multicast IP address Note When adding a device to the Network Video Surveillance software the multicast address must be the same as the DVR s multicast IP 3 Click Apply to save the settings Configuring the server and HTTP ports You can change the server and HTTP ports from the default settings in the Network Settings window The default server port is 8000 while that of the default HTT
