7. 1 Press lt FUNCTIONS repeatedly until DMX512 Add shows on the display 2 Use lt UP gt or lt DOWN to select the starting address 1 512 Make sure that the starting addresses on the various products do not overlap due to the new personality setting Setting the Output To adjust the volume of the haze output do the following Volume 1 Press lt FUNCTION gt repeatedly until Volume Out shows on the display 2 Use lt UP gt or lt DOWN gt to select the desired percent output volume 1 100 3 Press lt VOLUME to initiate this output 4 Press lt VOLUME gt again to trigger the haze output with this output volume setting memory To change the output volume for subsequent operation of the D After turning off the Amhaze II this output volume setting will remain in its Amhaze Il simply repeat the steps above Setting the Fan Speed To adjust the fan speed for the haze output do the following 1 Press lt FUNCTION gt repeatedly until Fan Speed shows on the display 2 Use lt UP gt or lt DOWN to select the desired percent total speed 1 100 or OFF 0 Amhaze WII User Manual Rev 3 Timer Mode Manual Mode Timer Mode Parameters Amhaze II User Manual Rev 3 Operation When in Timer mode the Amhaze II will produce haze in pre configured time intervals defined by the Interval Set and Duration Set menu options In addition the output volume during Timer mode is set by the Timer Out menu opt
8. appropriate electrical ground to avoid the risk of electrocution or fire Never connect this product to a rheostat variable resistor or dimmer circuit even if the rheostat or dimmer channel serves only as a 0 to 100 switch The Amhaze II comes with a power input cord terminated with a Neutrik powerCON A connector on one end and an Edison plug on the other end U S market If the power input cord that came with your product has no plug or if you need to change the Edison plug use the table below to wire the new plug to the power input cord Connection Wire U S Wire Europe Screw Color AC Live Brown Yellow or Brass AC Neutral Siver AC Ground Green Yellow Green Yellow Green The Amhaze ll uses a resettable circuit breaker Follow the instructions below to reset Disconnect the product from the power before resetting the breaker This product is equipped with a resettable circuit breaker If the breaker trips all sections of this product will lose power 1 Disconnect the hazer from power 2 Allow the hazer to cool for 15 minutes 3 After 15 minutes try to reset the breaker by pressing the button until it latches in the operation position 4 Connect the hazer to power and continue using as recommended If the breaker does not reset the breaker button will not remain latched contact Chauvet immediately You can link the Amhaze ll to a DMX controller using a standard DMX serial connection If using

10. creases the numeric value when in a function You can set the starting address of the Amhaze II in the 001 512 DMX range This enables control of up to 256 products in its 2 channel mode Refer to the Menu Map for a description of your programming options The menu map shows the main level and a variable number of programming levels for each option To prepare the Amhaze I for operation perform the following steps 1 2 3 SL Open the flight case Withdraw the fluid tank from its compartment and remove its cap Verify that the two plastic hoses attached to the cap are in place and in good condition Pour CHAUVET PHF or HFG haze fluid into the tank and replace the cap Put the tank back into its compartment in the hazer Make sure the plastic hose entering the hazer from the fluid tank cap is not bent or kinked To direct the haze up or down pull the haze guide from the front panel of the haze machine and reinstall it in the desired position Connect the hazer to power and Warming Up shows on the display during the heating up process After approx 2 minutes the display changes to Ready To Haze when the machine is ready to output haze In any of the operation modes the display must show Ready To Haze to output haze The Amhaze II does not have an On Off switch As soon as you connect the Amhaze II to power it will start operating To start up the Amhaze II do the following 1 2 3 Prepar
11. e for operation as described in Preparing for Operation Press lt VOLUMEs gt Adjust haze output volume by using lt UP gt or lt DOWN gt Repeat the startup procedure after transporting the Amhaze Il or after refilling with haze fluid Amhaze Il User Manual Rev 3 Functions Menu Press lt FUNCTION to Navigate V V Interval Set 1s 200s seconds Duration Set 1s 200s seconds Timer Out 1 100 Volume Out 1 100 Fan Speed OFF 1 100 DMX512 Add 1 512 Amhaze II User Manual Rev 3 Use lt UP gt or lt DOWN to change settings Operation DMX Values 2 Channels Channel Function Value Percent Setting 000 005 No output 000 U 005 No output 006 255 2 100 2 Output Volume Configuration Set the product in DMX mode to control with a DMX controller DMX 1 Connect the product to power 2 Connect a DMX cable from the DMX output of the DMX controller to the DMX input socket on the product Starting Address When selecting a starting DMX address always consider the number of DMX channels the DMX mode uses If you choose a starting address that is too high you could restrict the access to some of the product s channels The Amhaze II uses up to 2 DMX channels in its DMX mode which defines the highest configurable address to 511 If unfamiliar with DMX download the DMX Primer from www chauvetprofessional com To select the starting address do the following
12. edly until Timer Out shows on the display 6 Use lt UP gt or lt DOWN to set the haze output volume 1 100 v PROFESSIONAL 5 Technical Information Hazer Maintenance Do not allow the haze machine to become clogged After every 40 hours of continuous operation use CHAUVET Fog Cleaner Quart FCQ through the system to prevent the accumulation of particulate matter in the heating element The recommended cleaning procedure is as follows Unplug the product from power Empty all haze fluid from the machine Add cleaning solution to the tank Connect the product to power and allow it to warm up Run the unit in a well ventilated area until the tank is empty Refill with haze fluid to continue using the hazer Run the machine briefly to clear any cleaning solution from the pump and heater FCQ Fog Cleaner Quart was specifically developed by Chauvet to clean your Amhaze Il Make sure you use FCQ regularly to increase the life of your hazer AMS AN Do not spin the fans using compressed air because you could damage the hazer Storage Before storing the hazer run FCQ through the system as described in the cleaning procedure above however only follow steps 1 through 5 Do not refill the tank with hazer fluid if storing the hazer Cleaning the system prior to storage will help prevent any particles from condensing inside the pump or heater while not in use O Test run your Amhaze ll on a monthly basis to achieve the
