1. Las celdas o bater as no deben cortocircuitarse Es peligroso almacenar las celdas o bater as en estuches o cajones en cuyo interior puedan cortocircuitarse por contacto rec proco o por contacto con otros materiales conductores No deben extraerse las celdas o bater as de sus embalajes originales hasta el momento en que vayan a utilizarse Las celdas o bater as no deben someterse a impactos mec nicos fuertes indebidos En caso de falta de estanqueidad de una celda el l quido vertido no debe entrar en contacto con la piel ni los ojos Si se produce contacto lavar con agua abundante la zona afectada y avisar a un m dico En caso de cambio o recarga inadecuados las celdas o bater as que contienen electrolitos alcalinos p ej las celdas de litio pueden explotar Para garantizar la seguridad del producto las celdas o bater as solo deben ser sustituidas por el tipo Rohde amp Schwarz correspondiente ver lista de recambios Las bater as y celdas deben reciclarse y no deben tirarse a la basura dom stica Las bater as o acumuladores que contienen plomo mercurio o cadmio deben tratarse como residuos especiales Respete en esta relaci n las normas nacionales de eliminaci n y reciclaje Transporte e El producto puede tener un peso elevado Por eso es necesario desplazarlo o transportarlo con precauci n y si es necesario usando un sistema de elevaci n adecuado p ej una carretilla elevadora a fin de evitar lesiones en

29. p S ZCxxxx Unpacking the unit 2 Preparing the unit This section covers the basic steps to set up the Converter Power Supply R amp S ZCPS and to put it into operation Risk of injury and instrument damage The instrument must be used in an appropriate manner to prevent electric shock fire personal injury or damage e Do not use an isolating transformer to connect the instrument to the AC power supply e Do not open the instrument casing e Read and observe the Basic Safety Instructions delivered as a printed brochure with the instrument or in electronic format on the documenta tion CD ROM In addition read and observe the safety instructions in the following sec tions Notice that the data sheet may specify additional operating condi tions 2 1 Unpacking the unit The Converter Power Supply is delivered together with the accessories in a card board box Proceed as follows to unpack its contents 1 Open the cardboard box and remove the foam paddings from the top of the Dox 2 Remove the accessories mains cable fuses packed into the box and take the unit out of the packaging 3 Remove the unit from its ESD bag 4 Check the shipment for completeness by comparing it with the shipping docu ment and the accessory lists for the various items R amp S ZCPS Preparing the unit 5 Check the unit for any damage If there is any damage immediately contact the shipping company that delivered the unit I
30. plug housing to disengage the locking The supply voltages of a converter power supply board are enabled by the con nected converter a high level on the power control input POWER_CTRL acti vates them In active state the supply voltages are supervised if one of them falls short of its specific threshold or if POWER_CTRL is low the board s status LED turns from green to red To connect the unit 1 Switch off the Converter Power Supply 2 Connect the power supply cable s of the related converter s to the convertor connector s of the Converter Power Supply 3 Switch on the Converter Power Supply If the status LED turns green the corresponding converter module is ready to use ow nn User Manual 1325 6424 02 01 11 4 Replacing Fuses The R amp S ZCPS is protected by two time lag fuses IEC60127 2 5 13 15H 250 V stock no 0099 6729 00 located in the fuse drawer below the AC power switch on the rear panel see figure 2 2 Shock hazard Before replacing a fuse make sure that the instrument is switched off and disconnected from all power supplies Always use fuses supplied by Rohde amp Schwarz as spare parts or fuses of the same type and rating To replace the fuses 1 Use a small screwdriver to bend the small clamps on both sides of the fuse drawer inward so that you can lift the fuse drawer out of its slot 2 Exchange the fuses 3 Push the drawer back into the slot
