5. f yoususpect that thespray tip nozzle orhose is completely clogged or that pressure has notbeen fully relieved after following the steps above VERY SLOWLY loosen the retaining nut or hoseend coupling andrelieve pressure gradually then loosen completely Now clearthe tip nozzle orhose 2 On the pump downstroke the shovel washer extends beyond the intake cylinder to pull the materialinto the pump The shovel washer works under extreme force During operation and whenever the pump ischarged with air the shovel washer can severely injure or amputatea hand orfinger orbreak a tool caught between itand the intake cylinder Always follow the Pressure Relief Procedure below before checking clearing cleaning flushing or servicing any part of the pump 3 This equipment conducts very high fluid pressure Spray from thegrease gun leaks or ruptured componentscan inject fluidthrough your skinand into yourbody and cause extremely serious bodily injury including the need for amputation Also fluid injected or splashedinto the eyesor on theskin can causeserious damage NEVER point thegrease gun atanyone or atany part ofthe body NEVER put handor fingers overthe spray tip ALWAYS follow the Pressure Relief Procedure right before cleaning or removing the spray tip orservicing any system equipment NEVER try tostop or deflectleaks with yourhand or body Be sure equipmentsafety devices are operating properly before each use 4 Any misuse of the s

9. uire any special procedures The dust incompressed air canslow down oreven block the motor cylinder The following steps may prevent this fromhappening 1 Let in50 gram of Vaseline oil or other lubricator from theair inlet hole weekly operate the pumpfor several minutes after having lubricatorinto the pump 2 Turnon the pumpfor several minutesuntil moving partsis fully lubricated 3 You may repeatthe above operationif necessary 4 The above steps shouldbe carried outon a weekly base For the pumpsthat are attachedwith compressed airtreatment equipment please empty the waterretained in the reservoir of the filter purger frequently For the pumpsthat are attachedwith a lubricator please payclose attention tothe lubricator s grease leveland refill with NLGL 2 conditions whennecessary NOTE The user should perform only routine maintenance operations suchas filters silencers cleaning inorder not todamage it orcompromise its safety Contact our sales or servicecenters when the pump needs further maintenance GENERAL SAFETY REGULATIONS When the pumpis connected tothe compressed airsupply Thecompressed air mustbe filtered to avoid dust intopump Themax compressed airpressure must notexceed 0 8Mpa To deliver grease press the knobon the delivery gun delivery stops when the knob is released butthe whole systemremains under pressure Position thegun so thatthe circuit can topen accidentally Otherwise grease could leak o
10. ump throughthe bung adaptorand the followerplate Then tighten the starnut firmly inorder to attachthe pump CONNECTION OF THE AIR INLET LINE Air inlet connectionis 1 4 quick coupling or1 4 NPT female in all versions Compressed air connection to be suppliedby the customer should be done using suitable tubes A compressedair treatment unit filter and regulator is recommended tobe attached to the pump In order toimprove the efficiency of the pump the installation of a lubricator is alsorecommended CONNECTION OF THE REGULATOR The lubricator 1 must be placedas close as possible to theair inlet followedby the pressure regulator Il and finally the filter III In the case of pumps not installed on wall support itis very importantto equip the pump s air inletwith an adaptorfor quick coupling and theair inlet hosewith a quickconnector TiS id j k CONNECTION OF GREASEDISCHARGE 1 The Grease discharge outletis a 1 4 Gthread Connect the outletto the high pressure hose accordingto DIN SAE norms through the correspondingadapter and terminal 2 Ensure thegun or corresponding valve is closed 3 Slowly openthe pump s compressedair inlet valve The pump will start to function filling the feedcircuit with grease Maintain pressure onthe gun untilthe grease starts to come out The pumpis now ready for its usual function PUMP OPER
11. ystem equipment oraccessories such as overpressure modifying parts using incompatible chemicals andfluids or using worn or damaged parts can causethem to rupture and result influid injection splashingin the eyesor on the skin or other serious bodily injury or fire explosion or property damage NEVER alter ormodify any partof this equipment doing so couldcause if any malfunction CHECK all equipment regularly and immediately repair or replace worn or damaged parts System Pressure NEVER exceed therecommended working pressure or the maximum air inlet pressure stated on your pump Be sure thatall dispensing equipmentand accessories arerated to withstandthe maximum working pressureof the pump DO NOT exceed the maximum working pressure of anycomponent or accessoryused in thesystem Fluid Compatibility The system is only suitable forgrease 5 High pressurefluid in the hoses can be very dangerous Ifthe hose developsa leak split or rupture due to any kind of wear damage or misuse the high pressure spray emitted from itcan cause afluid injection injury or other serious bodily injury or property damage TIGHTEN all fluidconnections securely beforeeach use High pressure fluid can dislodge a loose coupling or allow high pressure sprayto be emittedfrom the coupling NEVER use adamaged hose Beforeeach use checkthe entire hosefor cuts leaks abrasion bulging cover damage or movement of the hose couplings Ifany of the
