3. 0 Volume Out CHAUVET 1 100 DMX512Add CHAUVET Fluid Sensor CHAUVET 2Ch Channel Function Value Percent Setting 000U 005 No function 000U 005 No function 006U 255 Continuous output 2 Continuous Output Atmos User Manual Rev 3 9 Operation Configuration Starting Address Setting the Output Volume Activating the Fluid Sensor A HAVI PROFESSIONAL To set the product in DMX mode to control with a DMX controller 1 Connect the Atmos to power and turn power switch to ON Warming Up shows on the display during the heating up process After approx 8 minutes the display changes to Ready To Atmos when the machine is ready to output fog 2 Connect a DMX cable from the DMX output of the DMX controller to the DMX input socket on the product The Atmos uses up to 1 DMX channel in its DMX mode which defines the highest configurable address to 512 If unfamiliar with DMX download the DMX Primer from www chauvetprofessional com To select the starting address do the following 1 Press lt FUNCTION gt repeatedly until DMX512 Add shows on the display 2 Use lt UP gt or lt DOWNo gt to select the starting address 1 512 Make sure that the starting addresses on the various products do not overlap due to the personality setting To adjust the volume of the fog output do the following 1 Press lt FUNCTION gt repeatedly until Volume Out shows on the display 2 Use l

ODF To prepare the Atmos for operation perform the following steps 1 Withdraw the fluid tank from its compartment and remove its cap 2 Verify that the two plastic hoses attached to the cap are in place and in good condition 3 Pour Chauvet HDF or ODF fog fluid into the tank and replace the cap 4 Return the tank back to its compartment in the Atmos 5 Make sure the plastic hose entering the Atmos from the fluid tank cap is not bent or kinked 6 Connect the Atmos to power and Warming Up shows on the display during the heating up process After approx 8 minutes the display changes to Ready To Atmos when the machine is ready to output fog In any of the operation modes the display must show Ready To Atmos to output fog The Atmos has an On Off switch Make sure that the switch is in the OFF position before plugging the Atmos into power To start up the Atmos do the following 1 Prepare for operation as described in Preparing for Operation 2 Press lt VOLUME gt 3 Adjust fog output volume by using lt UP gt or csDOWN gt Repeat the startup procedure after transporting the Atmos or after refilling with fluid Atmos User Manual Rev 3 Atmos Opening Screen CHAUVET Version X X CHAUVET AC 120V 60Hz Warming Up only appears if Atmos is cold Ready To Atmos CHAUVET Atmos Functions Menu Interval Set CHAUVET Duration Set CHAUVET Timer Out CHAUVET 1 10

8. arameters To operate in Timer mode do the following Press lt TIMER gt and the display will show a countdown of the interval timer When the counter reaches zero 0 the Atmos will start producing fog The fog output duration during Timer mode is set by the Duration Set menu option The fog output volume during Timer mode is set by the Timer Out menu option This cycle will repeat itself until you press lt TIMER gt again or until the Atmos runs out of fluid In the Manual mode the Atmos will output fog for as long as lt MANUAL gt remains pressed The output volume will be at 100 full fog output To operate in Manual mode do the following Press lt MANUAL gt This mode will continue until you release lt MANUAL gt or until the Atmos runs out of fluid These parameters determine the intervals and output volume for the Atmos while in Timer mode To configure these parameters do the following 1 Press lt FUNCTION gt repeatedly until Interval Set shows on the display 2 Use lt UP gt or lt DOWN gt to select the time in seconds 1 200s between fog output 3 Press lt FUNCTION gt repeatedly until Duration Set shows on the display 4 Use lt UP gt or lt DOWN gt to select the time in seconds 1 200s for the duration of the fog output Press lt FUNCTION gt repeatedly until Timer Out shows on the display Use lt UP gt or lt DOWN gt to set the fog output volume 1 100 a IN D o v CHAUVET Tec
9. clamp be sure to use a clamp with a captive bolt to prevent accidental loosening Atmos User Manual Rev 3 7 Operation 4 OPERATION Control Panel Description Control Options Removable Control Panel o Programming A Preparing for Operation Startup Button Function lt FUNCTION gt Enters the programming mode lt VOLUME gt Controls the pump to modify the output volume lt TIMER gt Starts the timer controlled operation lt MANUAL gt Allows momentary fog output for as long as the button is held down lt UP gt Navigates upward through the menu list or increases the numeric value when in a function lt DOWN gt Navigates downward through the menu list or decreases the numeric value when in a function You can set the Atmos starting address in the 001 512 DMX range This enables control of up to 512 products in the 1 channel personality To operate or control the Atmos from a distance the control panel can be removed using the 2 thumb screws on each side of the panel it has a 15 foot cable that is already installed and can be extended using a standard 5 pin DMX cable up to 200 feet Do not exceed 200 feet when extending the control panel cable Refer to the Menu Map to understand the menu options The menu map shows the main level and a variable number of programming levels for each option Only use Chauvet water based High Density Fog Fluid HDF and Guick Dissipating Fog Fluid
10. com products Orientation Always mount this product in a safe position and make sure there is adeguate room for ventilation configuration and maintenance Rigging Chauvet recommends using the following general guidelines when mounting this product When selecting an installation location consider easy access to this product for operation programming adjustments and routine maintenance Make sure to mount this product away from any flammable material as indicated in the Safety Notes Never mount in places where rain high humidity extreme temperature changes or restricted ventilation may affect the product If hanging this product make sure that the mounting location can support the product s weight See the Technical Specifications for the weight bearing reguirements of this product When hanging this product always secure to a fastening device using a safety cable such as CH 05 from Chauvet Procedure The Atmos comes with rubber feet for floor mounting and a yoke to which you can attach mounting clamps for hanging You must supply your own mounting clamps Make sure the structure and the clamps such as CLP 15 from Chauvet are capable of supporting the weight of this product Use at least one mounting point per product fg CR Mounting Clamp ES ON E U Safety Cable A S N Mounting Diagram SS Rubber Feet x4 for floor mounting Floor Mounting Overhead Mounting When using only one mounting
11. d Always make sure you are connecting this product to the proper voltage in accordance with the specifications in this manual or on the product s specification label To eliminate unnecessary wear and improve its lifespan during periods of non use completely disconnect the product from power via breaker or by unplugging it Never connect this product to a dimmer pack or rheostat Never disconnect this product by pulling or tugging on the power cable Do not operate this product if you see damage to the housing fluid tank or cables Have the damaged parts replaced by an authorized technician at once Be sure that no ventilation slots on the product s housing are blocked Never carry the product from the power cord or any moving part Always use the handles The fog exits the nozzle at a very high temperature Keep a minimum distance of 6 5 ft 2 m from the nozzle to the nearest object The product s nozzle is very hot during operation and it remains hot for a long time after operation has stopped The maximum ambient temperature is 104 F 40 C Do not operate this product at a higher temperature In the event of a serious operating problem stop using this product immediately Do not add perfume alcohol gasoline or any other flammables to the fog fluid Only use Chauvet water based High Density Fog Fluid HDF and Ouick Dissipating Fog Fluid ODF In the unlikely event that your Chauvet product may reguire service contact Chauvet Technica

13. hnical Information 5 TECHNICAL INFORMATION i Do not allow the Atmos to become clogged After every 40 hours of continuous Maintenance operation use Chauvet Fog Cleaner Quart FCO through the system to prevent the accumulation of particulate matter in the heating element The recommended cleaning procedure is as follows Unplug the product from power Empty all fluid from the machine Add cleaning solution to the tank Connect the product to power and allow it to warm up Run the product in a well ventilated area until the tank is empty Refill with fog fluid to continue using the Atmos Run the machine briefly to clear any cleaning solution from the pump and heater FCQ Fog Cleaner Quart was specifically developed by Chauvet to clean your Atmos Make sure you use FCQ regularly to increase the life of your fogger AN Do not spin the fans using compressed air because you could damage the fogger Storage Before storing the Atmos run FCO through the system as described in the cleaning procedure above however only follow steps 1 through 5 Do not refill the tank with fluid if storing the Atmos Cleaning the system prior to storage will help prevent any particles from condensing inside the pump or heater while not in use i Test run your Atmos on a monthly basis to achieve the best performance A AtmosTM User Manual Rev 3 6 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Dimensions and Weight Power Operation Capacity Co

18. t UP gt or lt DOWN gt to select the desired percent output volume 1 100 3 Press lt VOLUME gt to initiate this output 4 Press lt VOLUME gt again to trigger the fog output with this output volume setting After turning off the Atmos this output volume setting will remain in its memory To change the output volume for subsequent operation of the Atmos simply repeat the steps above The Atmos has a fluid sensor that can detect when the amount of fluid in the fluid tank has reached a low level To activate the fluid sensor do the following 1 Press lt FUNCTION gt repeatedly until Fluid Sensor shows on the display 2 Use lt UP gt or lt DOWN gt to select ON Note Selecting OFF turns off the fluid sensor While operating the Atmos make sure there is adequate fog fluid in the machine to prevent pump and heater damage You can check the fluid level in the tank visually or by activating the fluid sensor When the fluid level becomes low simply add more fluid to continue using the Atmos TM Atmos User Manual Rev 3 Operation Timer Mode When in Timer mode the Atmos will produce fog in pre configured time intervals Manual Mode Timer Mode Parameters Atmos User Manual Rev 3 defined by the Interval Set and Duration Set menu options In addition the output volume during Timer mode is set by the Timer Out menu option See the Timer Mode Parameters section for details about how to configure these p
19. ting the breaker This product is equipped with a resettable circuit breaker If the breaker trips all sections of this product will lose power 1 Disconnect the product from power 2 Allow the product to cool for 15 minutes 3 After 15 minutes try to reset the breaker by flipping it to the ON position 4 Connect the product to power and continue using as recommended If the breaker does not reset the breaker button will not remain latched contact Chauvet immediately You can link the Atmos to a DMX controller using a 3 or 5 pin DMX connection If using other DMX compatible products with the Atmos you can control each individually with a single DMX controller The Atmos uses a 3 or 5 pin DMX data connection for its 1 channel DMX personality Refer to the Introduction chapter for a brief description of each DMX personality Refer to the Operation chapter to learn how to configure the Atmos to work in these personalities The DMX Values section provides you with detailed information regarding the DMX personalities 3 If you are not familiar with or need more information about DMX standards or the DMX cables needed to link this product to a DMX controller download the DMX Primer from the Chauvet website www chauvetprofessional com Atmos User Manual Rev 3 UN Setup Mounting Before mounting this product read and follow the Safety Notes For our Chauvet line of mounting clamps go to http trusst
