Door reversibility    4A WARNING     Before carrying out any operations   remove the plug from the power  socket     44 CAUTION     To carry out the following operations   we suggest that this be made with  another person that will keep a firm  hold on the doors of the appliance  during the operations     1  Tilt back the appliance carefully so that  the compressor cannot touch the floor   2  Unscrew both adjustable feet     INSTALLATION                   3  Unscrew the screws of the door bottom  hinge    4  Take off the appliance door by pulling it  slightly downwards    5  Unscrew the top door hinge pin of the  appliance then screw it back on the  other side                       6  Fit the appliance door on the upper door  hinge pin    7  Remove the lower hinge  Put over the  pin in the direction of the arrow    8  Unscrew and install the screw on the  opposite side    9  Install the lower hinge on the opposite  side leaving the position of the door  unchanged    10  Screw in the one screw in the place set  free on the other side as well as the  adjustable feet  2 pieces     11  Remove and install the handle on the  opposite side     47    INSTALLATION                   44 CAUTION     Reposition  level the appliance  wait  for at least four hours and then  connect it to the power socket     Do a final check to make sure that       All screws are tightened    e The magnetic seal adheres to the  cabinet      The door opens and closes  correctly    If the ambient temperatu

8. damage the  finish     DAILY USE    Small pieces may even be cooked still  4h WARNING  frozen  directly from the freezer  in this  y  Refer to Safety chapters  case  cooking will take longer     Freezing fresh food    The freezing  top  area is suitable for  freezing fresh food and storing frozen and  deep frozen food for a long time     To freeze fresh food  place it in the freezing   top  compartment and leave it there for 24  hours     Move frozen food in the storing  lower   compartments to make room for another  freezing     The maximum amount of food that can be  frozen in 24 hours is specified on the rating  plate  a label located on the inside of the  appliance     The freezing process lasts 24 hours  during  this period do not add other food to be  frozen     Storage of frozen food    When first starting up or after a period out  of use  before putting the products in the  compartment let the appliance run at least  8 hours on the higher settings     In the event of accidental defrosting   for example due to a power failure  if  the power has been off for longer than  the value shown in the technical  characteristics chart under  rising  time   the defrosted food must be  consumed quickly or cooked  immediately and then re frozen  after  cooling      Thawing    Deep frozen or frozen food  prior to being  used  can be thawed in the refrigerator  compartment or at room temperature   depending on the time available for this  operation     HINTS AND TIPS    Normal operat

11. ing sounds    The following sounds are normal during  operation       A faint gurgling and bubbling sound from  coils sound when refrigerant is pumped   e A whirring and pulsating sound from the  compressor when refrigerant is pumped       A sudden cracking noise from inside    appliance caused by thermic dilatation  a    natural and not dangerous physical  phenomenon    e A faint click noise from the temperature    regulator when the compressor switches    on or off     Hints for energy saving      Do not open the door frequently or leave    it open longer than absolutely  necessary   Hints for freezing    To help you make the most of the freezing  process  here are some important hints     e the maximum quantity of food which can    be frozen in 24 hours is shown on the  rating plate    e the freezing process takes 24 hours no  further food to be frozen should be  added during this period    e freeze only top quality  fresh and  thoroughly cleaned  foodstuffs     e prepare food in small portions to enable    itto be rapidly and completely frozen    and to make it possible subsequently to    thaw only the quantity required    e wrap up the food in aluminium foil or  polythene and make sure that the  packages are airtight    e do not allow fresh  unfrozen food to    touch food which is already frozen  thus    avoiding a rise in temperature of the  latter    e lean foods store better and longer than  fatty ones  salt reduces the storage life  of food     10    water ices  if c
