Few Words from Tony Maserati The VX1 is a compact package for full vocal control whether you need to squeeze the most emotion out subtle performance or engulf it in a room with a full band production This plug in has all the processing you need for Vocals Contour 1 will give you a studio or small venue room Contour 2 is a larger chamber with reflective pre delays most suited for slow ballads and Contour is set up for quicker tempo songs with a very small room and matching pre delay 1 4 Components WaveShell technology enables us to split Waves processors into smaller plug ins which we call components Having a choice of components for a particular processor gives you the flexibility to choose the configuration best suited to your material The Waves Maserati VX1 has two components e Maserati VX1 m gt s Mono to Stereo out component e Maserati VX1 stereo Stereo in to Stereo out component Waves Maserati VX1 User Guide 4 Chapter 2 Quickstart Guide Insert the Maserati VX1 plug in on a vocal track Toggle between the Contour types to find the best starting point e Adjust the Sensitivity control until you achieve proper levels as indicated by the Sensitivity LED e Adjust the Bass and Treble tone controls to taste Adjust the Compress and Output controls to taste e Adjust the FX controls Waves Maserati VX1 User Guide 5 Chapter 3 Interface and Controls

6. ave File Name Preset Save to File Name As Put into Preset Menu As Select this to start a new Setup file There are two prompts first for the setup filename then for the preset name You must provide a name for both the setup file and the preset Click OK ENTER to complete the save It is a good idea to create a folder in which to save several setup files for a project Overwrites the settings of the loaded preset whether a User Preset or a preset from a Setup File with the current settings If a Setup File is currently loaded the name of the Setup File is displayed followed by the name of the preset itself If a User Preset is loaded its name is displayed Saves the current settings as a new preset into the Setup file that is open if one is not open the option is grayed out You will be prompted to give the preset a name Save the current settings into a User Preset that will always be in your Load menu until deleted You will be prompted to give this preset a name User Presets are stored in the plug in s preference file Waves Maserati VX1 User Guide 12 Deleting Presets You may delete User Presets and presets within a Setup File Factory Presets and Setup Library files cannot be deleted or overwritten 1 Hold the Command Mac Control PC key down 2 Click and hold the Load button to see the pop up menu 3 While still holding the Command Control key select the preset or
