Prince Mont Swim League Using Team Manager Hy Tek Team Manager V4 0 DRAFT VERSION 29 April 2007 Last update May 2007 m PMSL Hy Tek Team Manager Operations Manual Draft 29 April 2007 In the summer of 2002 the Prince Mont Swim League PMSL began using two software programs from Hy Tek Ltd Team Manager is used by each team to maintain their roster create meet entries and maintain meet results Meet Manager is used to run meets This includes entering times from all the swims scoring the meet and exporting the results back to Team Manager This document covers the operation of the Team Manager program It is not intended to be a tutorial on the operation of this program nor on the use of the Windows operating system Each user of the Team Manager program is expected to be familiar with basic Windows operations such as opening and saving files copying files and running programs Each user should also have a basic familiarity with the Hy Tek software A user s manual was delivered with each program and each program also contains on line help The operation of the two Hy Tek programs Team Manager and Meet Manager are now in separate documents This was done to make them more manageable in size and also because different persons are doing the team management meet entries and running the meets Hy Tek provides free technical support for licensed users as follows Team Manager 4 0 TM hy tekltd com 615 599

Restore Ctrl F 5 Backup Current TEAM MANAGER Database ole Backup Drive rectory You can select the backup drive and jo 4 o i Sinan the directory on that backup drive Enter Comments for the Backup J PMSL Archive You can add a note to your backup here ea TM Il Backups J TMonline You can add an optional comment to Hy Tek Recommendations for Database Backups You can use any storage media for your backup including your hard drive But if you want to move your database to another be stor ed with that backup computer or you want to back it up in case something happens to your hard drive here are your options 1 Diskettes If your Database backup fits on one diskette this media is fine for a backup Please note that if you use diskette s for your backup TEAM MANAGER will first delete any information on those diskette s so that the backup will fit on as few diskettes as Read the notes about Hy Tek possible If your Database is very large t may require more than one diskette Although Hy Tek s ZIP backup does support multiple diskettes Hy Tek recommends using other removable media Recommendations for D atab ase 2 CD RW Sage A 66 99 This is the recommended media for TEAM MANAGER Database backups but of course you need a CD writable drive and a CD R CD In order to use a CD R for storing Windows files you must first FORMAT the CD Please check with your CD B ackup S then click OK i VYritable software o
