1. Each weight loss workout is divided into one minute segments One speed setting and one in cline setting are programmed for each segment Note The same speed setting and or incline set ting may be programmed for consecutive seg ments Press the Start button to start the workout A moment after you press the Start button the treadmill will automatically adjust to the first speed and incline settings of the workout Hold the handrails and begin walking When the first segment of the workout ends a se ries of tones will sound If the speed and or incline of the treadmill is about to change the new speed setting and or incline setting will appear on the screen to alert you and the arrow below the work out profile will then move one position to the right The treadmill will automatically adjust to the speed 18 and incline settings programmed for the second segment Note The screen has a tuner mode an RCA mode and an MP4 mode The workout profile can be displayed only while the MP4 mode or the RCA mode is selected To view the workout profile press the TV button repeatedly until the word RCA or the word MP4 appears on the screen for a few seconds The workout will continue in this way until the last segment ends The walking belt will then slow to a stop If the speed or incline setting is too high or too low at any time during the workout you can manually override the setting by pressing the Spee

3. 3 Place one foot against a wheel and carefully lower the treadmill until it is resting in the storage position 27 HOW TO LOWER THE TREADMILL FOR USE 1 Hold the upper end of the treadmill with your right hand Pull the latch knob to the left and hold it it may be neces sary to push the frame forward as you pull the knob to the left Pivot the frame downward and release the latch knob 2 Hold the metal frame firmly with both hands and lower it to the floor CAUTION Do not grip only the plastic foot rails or drop the frame to the floor Bend your legs and keep your back straight 28 TROUBLESHOOTING Most treadmill problems can be solved by following the steps below Find the symptom that applies and follow the steps listed If further assistance is needed please see the front cover of this manual PROBLEM The power does not turn on SOLUTION PROBLEM SOLUTION PROBLEM SOLUTION a Make sure that the power cord is plugged into a properly earthed outlet See page 14 If an ex tension cord is needed use only a 3 conductor 1 mm 14 gauge cord that is no longer than 1 5 m 5 ft IMPORTANT The treadmill is not compatible with RCD equipped outlets After the power cord has been plugged in make sure that the key is inserted into the console Check the reset off circuit breaker located on the treadmill frame near the power cord If the switch 9
4. and a profile of the speed settings of the workout Press the Start button to start the workout A moment after you press the Start button the treadmill will automatically adjust to the first speed and incline settings that you programmed previ ously Hold the handrails and begin walking Each learn workout is divided into several one minute segments One speed setting and one in cline setting are programmed for each segment Note The same speed setting and or incline set ting may be programmed for consecutive seg ments 20 The learn workout will function in the same way as a weight loss workout see step 3 on page 18 If desired you can redesign the workout while using it To change the speed setting or the in cline setting for the current segment simply press the Speed or Incline buttons When the current segment ends the new setting will be saved in mem ory To stop the workout temporarily press the Stop button To restart the workout press the Start but ton The walking belt will begin to move at 2 Km H When the next segment of the workout begins the treadmill will automatically adjust to the speed and incline settings programmed for the next segment Select a display mode and follow your progress with the exercise information on the screen See step 5 on page 17 Measure your heart rate if desired See step 6 on page 17 When you are finished exercising remove the key from the console See s
5. strap may be hand washed and air dried CHEST PULSE SENSOR TROUBLESHOOTING The instructions on the following pages explain how the chest pulse sensor is used with the con sole If the chest pulse sensor does not function properly try the steps below Make sure that you are wearing the chest pulse sen Sor as described at the left Note If the chest pulse sensor does not function when positioned as de scribed move it slightly lower or higher on your chest Use saline solution such as saliva or contact lens solution to wet the two electrode areas on the sensor unit If heart rate readings do not appear until you begin perspiring rewet the electrode areas As you walk or run on the treadmill position your self near the center of the walking belt For the con sole to display heart rate readings the user must be within arm s length of the console The chest pulse sensor is designed to work with people who have normal heart rhythms Heart rate reading problems may be caused by medical condi tions such as premature ventricular contractions pvcs tachycardia bursts and arrhythmia The operation of the chest pulse sensor can be af fected by magnetic interference caused by high power lines or other sources If it is suspected that this is a problem try relocating the treadmill The CR2032 battery may need to be replaced see page 32 13 OPERATION AND ADJUSTMENT THE PRE LUBRICATED WALKING BELT Your tread

Console Accessory Tray ur Key Clip Reset Off Circuit Breaker Platform Cushion ASSEMBLY Assembly requires two persons Set the treadmill in a cleared area and remove all packing materials Do not dispose of the packing materials until assembly is completed Note The underside of the treadmill walking belt is coated with high performance lubricant During shipping a small amount of lubricant may be transferred to the top of the walking belt or the shipping carton This is a normal condition and does not affect treadmill perfor mance lf there is lubricant on top of the walking belt simply wipe off the lubricant with a soft cloth and a mild non abrasive cleaner Assembly requires the included hex keys and your own Phillips screwdriver adjustable wrench rubber mallet p and scissors Use the drawings below to identify the assembly hardware The number in parentheses below each drawing is the key number of the part from the PART LIST near the end of this manual The number after the parentheses is the quantity needed for assembly Note If a part is not in the hardware kit check to see if it is preattached to one of the parts to be assembled To avoid damaging plastic parts do not use power tools for assem bly Extra hardware may be included 5 16 Star Washer 3 8 Star Bolt Spacer 80 3 8 Nut 8 Washer Base Pad 9 4 Spacer 13 2 o 0g 1 4 x 3 4 5 16 x 1 1 4 3 8 x 2 Bo

Test the clip by carefully tak ing a few steps backward if the key is not pulled from the console adjust the position of the clip IMPORTANT If there is a sheet of clear plastic on the console remove the plastic To prevent dam age to the walking platform wear clean athletic shoes while using the treadmill The first time the treadmill is used observe the alignment of the walking belt and center the walking belt if neces sary see page 31 Note The console can display speed and distance in either kilometers or miles To find which unit of mea surement is selected see THE INFORMATION MODE on page 25 For simplicity all instructions in this manual refer to kilometers 16 HOW TO USE THE MANUAL MODE Insert the key into the console See HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER at the left Select the manual mode Each time the key is inserted the manual mode will be selected If you have selected a workout press the Learn Workouts button repeatedly until only zeros appear in the display Note Make sure that an iFIT card is not inserted into the iFIT slot Start the walking belt and adjust the speed To start the walking belt press the Start button the Speed increase button or one of the numbered 1 Step Speed buttons If you press the Start button or the Speed increase button the walking belt will begin to move at 2 Km H As you exercise change the speed of the walking belt as
9. automatically adjust to the speed and in cline settings programmed for the second segment Note The screen has a tuner mode an RCA mode and an MP4 mode The workout profile can be displayed only while the MP4 mode or the RCA mode is selected To view the workout profile press the TV button repeatedly until the word RCA or the word MP4 appears on the screen for a few seconds The workout will continue in this way until the last segment of the profile flashes in the display and the last segment ends The walking belt will then slow to a stop If the speed or incline setting is too high or too low at any time during the workout you can manually override the setting by pressing the Speed or Incline buttons however when the next segment of the workout begins the treadmill will automatically adjust to the speed and incline settings for the next segment To stop the workout at any time press the Stop button To restart the workout press the Start button or the Speed increase button The walking belt will begin to move at 2 Km H When the next segment of the workout begins the treadmill will automati cally adjust to the speed and incline settings for the next segment Select a display mode and follow your progress with the exercise information on the screen See step 5 on page 17 Measure your heart rate if desired See step 6 on page 17 When you are finished exercising remove the key from the console See step 7 on page

11. use an MP4 player you need an audio video cable To purchase an audio video cable see your local electronics store To use the Integrated Universal Dock for iPod you need an iFIT Universal iPod Connector Plug one end into the Integrated Universal Dock for iPod near the speakers and the other end into your iPod Make sure that the iFIT Universal iPod Connector is fully plugged in To purchase an iFIT Universal iPod Connector please call the telephone number on the front cover of this manual Next press the TV button repeatedly until the word MP4 appears on your screen Press the Play button on your iPod MP4 player MP3 Player CD player or other personal audio video player Adjust the volume on your personal audio video player or press the Volume increase and decrease buttons on the con sole If you are using a personal CD player or DVD player and the CD or DVD skips set the CD player or DVD player on the floor or another flat surface instead of on the console THE INFORMATION MODE The console features an information mode that allows you to view treadmill usage information and select a system of measurement for the console The informa tion mode also allows you to adjust the settings of the television and to save channels into the television s memory Follow the steps below to use the information mode 1 Hold down the Stop button while inserting the key into the console When you select the information mode the lowe

19. desired by pressing the Speed in crease and decrease buttons next to the Start but ton Each time you press a button the speed set ting will change by 0 1 Km H if you hold down a button the speed setting will change in increments of 0 5 Km H If you press one of the numbered 1 Step Speed buttons the walking belt will gradually increase in speed until it reaches the selected speed setting To stop the walking belt press the Stop button To restart the walking belt press the Start button the Speed increase button or one of the numbered 1 Step Speed buttons Change the incline of the treadmill as desired To change the incline of the treadmill press the Incline increase and decrease buttons or one of the numbered 1 Step Incline buttons Each time one of the buttons is pressed the incline will grad ually increase until it reaches the selected incline setting Select a display mode and follow your progress with the exercise information on the screen The console offers three display modes The dis play mode that you select will determine which workout information is shown Press the Display button repeatedly to select the desired display mode As you walk or run on the treadmill the screen can display the following exercise information e When the manual mode is selected the screen can show a track that represents 400 meters 1 4 mile As you walk or run on the treadmill seg ments of the track will appear in success

44. tep 7 on page 17 HOW TO USE THE CUSTOM WORKOUT CENTER 1 Insert the key into the console See HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER on page 16 Select the Custom Workout Center To use a Custom Workout Center press the Select Profile increase button Select a profile of the speed settings of the work out the workout time the minimum workout speed and the maximum workout speed by repeatedly pressing the increase and decrease buttons for each selection Press the Start Workout button after each selection Note Pressing the Start Workout button at this time will not start the custom workout If you do not press the Start Workout button the screen will advance to the next selection in a few seconds Each custom workout is divided into several seg ments One speed setting and one incline setting are programmed for each segment Press the Start Workout button again to start the workout A moment after you press the Start Workout but ton the walking belt will begin to move Hold the 4 handrails and begin walking When the first seg ment of the work out ends a series of tones will sound If the speed and or in cline of the tread mill is about to change the new speed setting and or incline setting will appear on the screen to alert you The arrow below the workout profile will then move one position to the right and the tread Current Segment 21 mill will
