B L A Edt security profilin You can switch between the different security levels p pressing the ALT CFG button on the front panel of the IX66 Internet Gate or by changing the setting on the main menu page of the built in web interface You can edit the firewall configuration by selecting Security below Settings on the main menu page Then choose configuration AC AltConf Alternative Configuration to set your own security level and adjust it according to the games and applications you use Some seitings on this page needs an IP address of a LAN PC to work To see the address select Run on that Security Profile High PC s Start menu and enter WINIPCFG Ledet alee Allawed applications IP Adia T If you have a web Telnet or FTP server on your LAN that PER p n should be reachable from outside enter its LAN IP address here Jh l Telnet server pooo If you want to allow other computers on the internet to access O SSH server Secure Shell your LAN select here what protocols that should be allowed I FIP server through the firewall For example check Ping if you want that O PING rerewe incoming ping request should be allowed through Enter the IP E SF address of the LAN computer that the ping shall be forwarded to I Remote conigaahon C Diek poo If you are playing multiplayer games with other gamers over the F Delta Force Internet enable such communication here Check the game you E Cerm d amp Cse

IP addressing on LAN If you want your IX66 Internet Gate to be part of an existing network that uses static IP addresses you can change the IP address of your Internet Gate s LAN port ET1 with the front panel keys 1 Press and hold pressed for 3 seconds to enter setup mode 2 Press SELECT once so CFG is lit 3 Press SET The first 3 digits of the IP address are shown and the first digit flashes 4 Press ALT CFG repeatedly until the correct digit is displayed 5 Press SELECT the next digit flashes and can be changed using ALT CFG 6 Use SELECT to step through all digits of the IP address Use SET to step back to previous digit if you have made any error Use ALT CFG to change the value of the flashing digit You can cancel the IP address set up without saving any changes by pressing the key and holding it pressed for 2 seconds 7 After stepping through all digits of the IP address the subnet mask appears and can be modified Each subnet mask number can only be set to values 255 254 252 248 240 224 192 128 or O 8 Press ALT CFG repeatedly until the correct value is displayed Press SELECT to step to the next subnet mask number 9 The IP address and mask is stored after all digits have been set To just read the current LAN IP address select AD instead of CFG in step 2 above If the display displays no after setting an IP address it means that there is already someone using t
6. have a port marked UPLINK you should use a straight ethernet cable If your network uses dynamic IP addressing recommended then your IX66 Internet Gate s own built in DHCP server will provide IP addresses to all your network PC s Please turn off any other DHCP servers on your LAN Read more on page 9 Is your network using static IP addresses Read how to configure on page 10 Read here if you have problems or want to make special settings Diagnostic test If you cannot access the Internet your IX66 Internet Gate can attempt to localise the problem Start the diagnostic test like this 1 Press and keep pressed 3 seconds to enter setup mode 2 Press SELECT 4 times until LQ is lit 3 Press SET It takes a couple of seconds to perform the test Any errors discovered are shown in the display E 1 to E 9 indicate error in your extern Internet connection 7 No WAN Ethernet link Check cable in port ET2 Contact your broadband supplier if error L _ remains r No WAN DHCP server found Check configuration according to page 12 Reboot your IX66 Internet Gate Contact your Internet Service Provider ISP if error remains 7 No Gateway found Check configuration according to page 12 Reboot your IX66 Internet Gate Contact your Internet Service Provider ISP if error remains 1 No DNS server found Check configuration according to page 12 Reboot your IX66 Internet amp _

11. etwork LAN with PCs using the TCP IP protocol A web browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator version 4 or later installed on the PC One RJ 45 Broadband Internet Connection from wall connector or ADSL or cable modem HELP Getting Help There are several ways to get information about the Internet Gate Getting Started Guide This Getting Started guide helps you install configure and start using the Internet Gate Built in Help All configuration pages on the built in web server have help texts that describe the different parameters Online User Manual In the online manual you find information that are always up to date and tailored for your specific system configuration You_access it via the link on the configuration pages of the Internet Gate or directly at Support If you experience problems when installing or using the Internet Gate that cannot be solved by the help indicated above your retailer will assist you Detailed instructions Have you problems getting your IX66 Internet Gate to work Read the detailed instructions on the following pages for help Connecting a LAN If you have a Local Area Network LAN with several computers connected you can connect the network hub to your IX66 Internet Gate and allow all computers to share the Internet connection Usually you need a crossover Ethernet cable to connect the hub to port ET1 of your IX66 Internet Gate But if your hub
