SEmpi This shipment contains Empi s newest neuromuscular electrical stimulator Continuum This new device replaces the 300PV as Empi s primary NMES device and going forward NMES orders will be filled using the Continuum Continuum offers all the same therapeutic benefits of 300PV including NMES TENS and Edema programs with some significant improvements including e Simplified programming e Larger screen e Additional pre set programs for NMES and TENS including the proprietary SMP waveform for TENS e New battery saving waveform for Edema treatment e Additional safety features The process for prescribing Continuum is identical to the process for prescribing 300PV and all relevant paperwork is included in the device kit Additionally Continuum can be used with all the same accessories as 300PV including electrodes leadwires or hand foot switches Please see the other side of this document for a simple guide to help you program the Continuum s therapy options If you have further questions about this device consult the User s Manual or contact your local Empi representative or Empi Customer Service at 800 328 2536 Before using the device please see the Users Manual for complete indications contraindications warnings precautions dangers and adverse reactions Empi Continuum Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulator See back for a brief Continuum Start Up Guide DIO GLOBAL 8 Empi2. Continuum Easy Start Up Guide USCLE This start up guide will help you begin using the THROUGH IT new Empi Continuum NMES device Here are simple programming steps for the most commonly used features a PROGRAMMING STANDARD NMES PROGRAMMING TENS PROGRAMMING EDEMA FUNCTION LOCKING PROGRAMS Select NMES top left from the Home menu Select Large or Small muscle therapy To use a pre set NMES program Select Atrophy for standard NMES treatment Spasm to treat muscle spasms or Trigger to relax muscles in a localized area To use default settings press OK bottom row right to begin therapy To adjust settings toggle through parameters using left buttons and adjust settings using right buttons Press OK to begin therapy To set custom NMES therapy Select Custom bottom right from the NMES menu Toggle through parameters using left buttons and adjust settings using right buttons Press OK bottom row right to begin therapy Use side buttons to increase decrease channel intensity e Select TENS bottom left e Edema therapy requires special e Select Config lower right from the Home menu accessories Contact your local Empi from the Home menu representative to have your Continuum an 3 e Select Set top right kitted with the required items e Use left buttons to toggle ce PRENER E OPADNIE a i e Use left buttons to scroll to
