1.    Quick Operating Tips for Versaflo 1000    ALARMS    EXIT  CLEAR    WARNING  Prior to restarting the pump  double check that the condition that triggered the  alarm has been corrected to prevent harm to your patient     START  STOP    To acknowledge and silence an alarm  press the button        Start Reminder Alarm     if an infusion is not started within 3 minutes  press the button       to begin your infusion    Door Open Alarm     check door to ensure it   s closed properly  the pump will not start the  infusion until fixed    Air in line Alarm      an air bubble is detected in the IV tubing  remove the air bubble and restart  your infusion     Occlusion indine Alarm     pressure build up has occurred in the lV lineprelease the pressure  from the IV line and restart the infusion     Empty Alarm      this alarm can be triggered by two issues  if you are using the drop sensor  the  sensor is not detecting the drops as they pass through the sensor  Double check that your  sensor is placed at the top of your chamber  the fluid in the chamber does not go above the  sensor  your IV bag is not at an angle  the sensor is plugged into the back of the pump  and that  the sensor was not removed from the drip chamber  Also double check your fluids have not run  out     Complete Alarm      the correct amount of fluids have been delivered to your patient  Change  your IV bag and enter the new amount to be delivered to your patient     Low Battery Alarm     the battery power is almost 
2. depleted  plug pump into an electrical outlet  to charge the pump     Drive Mechanism Error     a mechanism error has occurred within the pump  Disconnect your  patient from the pump  turn the pump off  If the battery is almost depleted on the pump  plug  the pump into an electrical outlet and retry      NOTE  Pump will change to KVO mode    Quick Operating Tips for Versaflo 1000    WARNING  This IV pump should be used under direct supervision of trained personnel   WARNING  Please read the user   s manual prior to operation of this pump    NOTE  To assure accuracy  we recommend that you use the IV lines that were packaged with the  pump  Any other IV line used will require adjustments and you should refer to the user manual for  proper calibration of the IV lines            Press the ON OFF switch on the back of the pump and turn the pump on   Close roller clamp on set  spike and hang fluid container  Fill drip  chamber to fill line     w    Open roller clamp to fill all the set with fluid  Close roller clamp   4  Open the door of the pump by pressing down on the lever on the front     Install IV line inside the pump  making sure that it is properly installed  through the guides inside the pump including the Infra red Air Detector   Up tube guide  Peristaitic tube guide  and the occlusion sensor  and that  your line has no slack inside the pump  Close the door  Open roller  clamp     5  Press   once to enter the infusion rate setting screen  press or hold  A x  or to set des
3. ired infusion rate  Press a once to    confirm the desired rate and jump to volume setting               6  Press or hold or to set desired volume to be infused  Press ENER o confirm    the setting and return to the main screen   Attach the infusion set to vein puncture device                 PURGE   a  Hold ae to prime the infusion set   9  Connect the vein puncture device to the patient  Press eae to begin infusion   10  To stop infusion  press  START     STOP    11  To restart or clear the total infused volume  press ON OFF switch on back of pump to turn  the pump off  wait minimum 3 seconds  and turn it on again
