2. 7 Install the two white drive belts There are two different belt lengths First please install the shorter belt to the lower positioned motor pulley the pulley closer to the front of the motor assembly Second install the longer belt to the higher motor pulley at the rear of the motor assembly 8 Attach the power supply to the back of the motor unit 9 Switch on the motor unit The small green light will indicate that power has been switched on The speed control has 3 buttons slow speed change or stand by fast By pressing the middle button you switch on the motor to 33 3rpm After the speed stabilises at 33 3rpm you can change speed to 45rpm by pressing again the middle button of the speed control If you wish to change speed back from 45rpm to 33 3rpm press the middle button once more Repeatedly pressing the or buttons increases or decreases the replay speed in 20 steps of 0 1rpm respectively The adjusted speed is displayed digitally Useful tips The base and the record player should be positioned on a low resonance surface such as wood or multiple layer ply board to avoid structural vibrations disturbing replay Mains power connection The turntable is supplied with a power supply suitable for your country s mains supply Check the label before connecting to ensure compliance with the mains rating in your home If the player is not used over a long period of time the drive belt can be removed to prevent

4. first part of the turntable the main chassis Remove the packaging fabric from the main turntable chassis Install the earthing cable at the bottom of the main chassis You will find the earthing cable inside the box of accessories 4 Unpack the motor unit and place it to the left side of the main turntable chassis 5 Remove the last part of the turntable the platter Remove the plastic transport cover over the bearing shaft Remove the red transport cap on the bottom of the platter Please check to ensure there is enough grease on the bearing shaft If the shaft is to dry please use the grease that you find in the accessories box Install the platter carefully The best method is for one person to hold the platter with a second person locating the platter into the bearing into the correct position IMPORTANT NOTE Please check the level of the grease in the bearing shaft every three months by removing the platter from the bearing 6 Set up the height and the levelling of the chassis by turning the feet to the left side or right By turning the feet to the right the chassis will raise turning the feet to the left will lower the turntable The motor unit and the main chassis of the turntable must be set at the same height Finally level the Forte with the spirit level in the accessories box Check the distance between the motor unit and main chassis by using our measurement device The correct distance between the two units must be 1cm
