1. WARNING Do not use sling if a patient needs head or neck support Do not use sling if a patient suffers from back injury Do not use sling if a patient can not weight bear Please understand hoist operating instructions before using Check sling before use for signs of wear oe SS Standing Sling Lifting Procedures KH400SFB 40kg 110kg KH400SFLB 100kg 150kg STEP 1 Undo waist strap A slide the body of the sling down the patients back until the base of the sling is level with the base of the spine Fasten the velcro waist strap A snugly around the waist and clip buckle Adjust strap on buckle C to ensure a snug fit STEP 2 Move the lifter into position directly in front of the patient Ensure lifting arm is at lowest point Legs of the lifter are gated to clear the legs of the chair and castor brakes are released not in braking position Patients feet are placed comfortably on the footplate and patients knees shins are placed against the knee pad STEP 3 When using the KH400SFB or KH400SFLB use the coloured strap that fits comfortably over the attachment knobs There are 2 recommended mounting points relevant to the patients height The front knob is used for patients over 5 6 165cm and the back knobs are used for patients below 5 6 165cm Ensure both sides have the same col oured straps fitted Rear Knob Front Knob CAUTION Patients can use the hand rails to steady them selves The oper
