UVL 4F Longwave UV Lamp User s Manual Important Please read the instructions carefully prior to using the lamp in order to avoid malfunction or damage Operation Easily switch between the longave UV and the flashlight by using the selector located on the side of the lamp Flashlight Off Longwave UV Battery compartment Insert 4 AA batteries UM 3 not included with the lamp To insert batteries slide the battery cover out and flip upwards Position batteries as shown on the inside of the battery compartment Slide back the battery cover Keep the lamp away from extreme temperature changes excessive humidity moisture rain or other harsh environments Do not mix old and new batteries together It is not recommended to use the fluorescent lamp function when the energy level is low it will blacken the fluorescent tube Remove the batteries if the lamp is not to be used for a long period Replacement Parts Part Number Replacement Tube 4W longwave BLB 34 0010 01 UVP Replacing the Longwave Tube or Bulb 1 Replacing the Batteries 1 2 Bulb Remove the bulb cover The cover is tightly Cover qp screwed into the housing To remove un screw in a one quarter counter clockwise turn Lift off the bulb cover and the black Bulb chit end cap End aaa 7 Remove the flashlight bulb as shown in Cap the diagram Replace with a 4 8V bulb To remove the longwave tube slide off the Cover cle2. ar tube cover Turn the tube slightly and it will slide out UV Replace with a 4watt longwave tube Re Tube place the clear cover Reconnect the end cap Slide bulb cover back into position aligning the notches Turn cover clockwise to close Slide the battery cover out and lift it up Remove the old batteries and replace with Battery four new AA size UM3 batteries noting Compartment the positive and negative indication mark for proper insertion Slide the battery cover back into position SUVP UVP Inc 2066 W 11th Street Upland CA 91786 Tel 800 452 6788 or 909 946 3197 Fax 909 946 3597 Ultra Violet Products Ltd Unit 1 Trinity Hall Farm Estate Nuffield Road Cambridge CB4 1TG UK Tel 44 0 1223 420022 Fax 44 0 1223 420561 Web Site www uvp com 81 0165 01 Rev C
