ODDS amp ENDS September 2013 gt General For you old timers welcome back for another school year and for those of you that are new welcome to 4 Brigade hope you all have a great year As this is the first Odds amp Ends for SY13 14 please pay particular attention to the numerous changes addressed in this document Some of the more important changes deal with the budget and how it will be executed for FY14 Sequestration continues to have an adverse impact on our ability to conduct operations as normal o Atpresent it is anticipated that we will receive full funding for MPA However we also anticipate a sizeable reduction in MPA funding for FY15 and FY16 That makes it extremely important that you focus the execution of your MPA dollars on purchasing the requisite number of ASUs needed o Weare not so lucky when it comes to OMA funding As a result of a large reduction in OMA funding schools will not receive any OMA funding for at least the first quarter of this FY That means no OMA dollars for at least October November and December The OMA funding level is unclear for future quarters DO NOT SPEND OMA DOLLARS This means you must immediately cancel any contracts or auto drafts for services such as copiers ISPs compressed air etc NO EXCEPTIONS o As a result in the reduction in OMA funding all of the planned events which require OMA dollars workshops competitions JCLC cadet travel supply purchases etc are at risk For no
