16. ctions need to be made in order for the decoder to work properly Power Socket Antenna Socket ANTENNA Internet Box or Router If you have an antenna that requires 5V power supply so please make sure that it is properly supplied either by using external power supply or switching the Antenna Power option to On Depends on the software version Plug in all cables before connecting the receiver to the power supply Similarly always unplug the receiver from the power supply first before disconnecting cables from the receiver or reconnecting them 7 USER GUIDE GETTING STARTED ETTING STARTED TV CONNECTIONS There are three ways of connecting the receiver to your TV set m Connection with HDMI cable is the most recommended sD TV one It provides the highest picture and audio quality The E receiver automatically detects the best resolution for your TV But this requires support for the High Bandwidth Dig ital Content Protection HDCP standard from your TV set m f there is no possibility of connecting the receiver with HDMI cable use SCART cable If your receiver is connected with SCART cable please make sure that the picture resolution is set to 576i If the reslution of the screen is different then the graphic is not displayed 1 Keep pressing on the remote control unit of your I CAN receiver until it switches on to 576i mode and the graphic appears SURROUND SOUND
17. el by selecting AD Volume and by using 4 B HOW TO LOCK A PROGRAMME CHANNEL There are two types of locks Parental Lock and Channel Lock Parental Lock prevents children from watching programmes exceeding parental level To set the Parental Lock m Press to access Main Menu and select Parental Control m Choose Parental Level m Press to evoke a list of available options m Setthe age level and press 99 Channel Lock blocks whole channels To set the Channel Lock m Press and select Parental Control m Choose Channel Lock menu m In Channel Lock choose either All TV or All Radio list m Using select a programme to be locked and press leave the screen by pressing 9 Changes are saved Programmes channels are unlocked after entering the correct PIN code The default PIN code is 1234 I CAN Si By ADB Advanced Digital Broadcast 2851T HOW TO CHANGE YOUR PIN CODE To change the PIN code Press to access Main Menu and select Parental Control Choose Change PIN Enter the current PIN code Enter the new PIN code twice for confirmation The default PIN code is 1234 For the locks to take effect the Protection Status in Parental Control submenu needs to be set to 1 Active If the Protection Status is set to Inactive all the locks are disabled 17 USER GUIDE BASIC FUNCTIONS FUNCTIONS WHAT IS EPG Electronic Programme Guide EPG is an electronic version of common
