User manual Abilia Reminder with voice messages Item no 434 060 GEWA AB FALCK IGEI The Abilia Reminder consists of An Abilia Reminder A door mounted magnet switch 9v battery and battery holder Abilia Reminder Magnet switch The Abilia Reminder detects the door being opened and plays a voice message for the user The Abilia Reminder is for use by people who can live independent but who need to be reminded about things when they go out through the door It is also used as a soft barrier to prevent them from unintentionally leaving the house Area of application Once the Abilia Reminder has been installed a recorded voice message will be played whenever the door is opened To deactivate remove the battery Connection and installation e Screw the magnet switch into place on the door e Attach the Abilia Reminder to the wall near the door e Plug the wire from the magnet switch into the Abilia Reminder in the socket marked Door switch Insert the battery Recording e Set the recording switch to the recording position Y e Hold the Abilia Reminder about 30 cm away e Press and hold down the door symbol on the front of the unit and read out the message to be recorded The maximum recording time is 30 seconds e Release the door symbol once you have finished e Set the recording switch to the play mf position e Press the door symbol to listen to the recorded message e You2. can change the message at any time Playback e Press the door symbol or activate the magnet switch that is connected to the device Fault tracing e A loud noise or no sound at all when the message is activated means that the battery is running low Maintenance The device can be cleaned using a moist cloth with a mild detergent though it must not be immersed in water The device should be tested at regular intervals depending on the degree of security required Technical information Message length Max 30 seconds Current consumption 1 9uA with the magnet switch closed 60mA when playing the message Dimensions of door switch 63x33x13 mm Dimensions of the Abilia Reminder 160x100x32 mm Abilia Reminder input Potential free closing contact NO 3 5mm mono jack Safety Abilia has conducted a risk analysis for the product with reference to NS EN 14971 for Medical equipment The instructions for use and the technical specifications for the product have been drawn up in respect of the safety assessments carried out in this document It is always important to be aware of safety when first using this product and with subsequent use It is not possible to describe in the instructions all the ways in which the product must not be used If you are not sure whether you have started using the product or set it up properly please contact your supplier Abilia is not liable fo
