20. and the month If the holiday extends for more than one day then refer to the first day of the holiday From the Exception pull down list choose the exception that best fits the holiday being defined Check the Every Year checkbox Select the number of days that the holiday extends Press OK to confirm or Cancel to cancel 7 2 THE PERSONAL PLANNER In addition to the IN OUT tab the Edit Data window also contains a personal scheduling tool that enables an administrator to plan out in advance a work schedule for individual employees including holidays vacations extended absences maternity leaves etc The personal vacation planning tool enables flexible scheduling of vacations and special leaves of absence like maternity leave for each individual employee in the organization The Personal Planner is very similar to the global Holiday Planner in the look and feel of the user interface The main difference between the two is that the personal vacation planner is meant for the individual employee rather than the entire organization as a whole To learn how to use the personal vacation planner go to the section titled The Personal Planner in this chapter The personal scheduling tool consists of two tabs a Year View Calendar and a Month View Calendar The Year View as its name implies enables the administrator to plan out in advance an entire year s work schedule for any individual employee The Month View on the other hand
