Weather Reporter Press anemometer firmly onto the mast making sure it turns freely Thank you for choosing the Weather Reporter automatic data logging weather station Follow this guide to set up and install the Weather Reporter and it will give you many years excellent service What s in the box You will find the mast pc serial cable power Supply classroom box and anemometer together with guidance sheets and a CD The CD contains the Weather Reporter software user manual and curriculum materials First steps 1 Assemble the anemometer as indicated in the diagram 2 Run the CD and print out the WR Mark III Manual 3 Follow the guidance overleaf Warning Do not rest the mast on the ground as it may damage the pressure and humidity sensor at the base of the pole Testing the Weather Reporter Please refer to the pages in the Weather Reporter Manual for extra details Have the assembled Weather Look overleaf or on Step 1 Page 7 of Reporter ready for testing the Manual which should be ready before putting it on the roof at hand while you test the system Use the CD installer for single users to test the Weather Reporter on one machine Install the Weather Reporter Reader and Viewer programs on your computer ee Classroom Box and Power Manual where there is a diagram Supply showing how to wire them up Leave the Weather Report2. er connected up and plugged into the power socket for at least an hour The Reader program collects the data from the Weather Reporter Step 3 Page 8 of the Manual Run the Reader program to begin testing and connect Sa gt the serial or serial USB lead lt gt Click on Configure See Page 11 of the Manual for guidance Configure the correct port to link with the Weather Reporter When asked for the WRreader Address just click OK then check the Weather Now screen Refer to Step 4 Page 8 in the Manual Run the Viewer program and check the sensors are providing expected data Run the Viewer program and You can now calibrate the pressure check that the sensors are sensor Click on the Configure providing expected data 5 l command in the Reader program Everything working Congratulations you can now set up the Weather Reporter on the roof See Page 10 of the Manual for a step by step guide Something wrong Try the Weather Reporter FAQ on Page 27 of the Manual or on the web site www advisory unit org uk
