22. not illuminated Turn off the air cleaner Wait 60 seconds and unplug the unit before removing the grille While pressing down on the notch along the rear grille pull the grille down and towards you and remove it Fig 8 Gently push along the edge of the filter frame and pull forward To place the filter back into the air cleaner housing insert at the bottom and ensure that it is pushed in as far as it can go then push in from the top To replace filter grille align pin on bottom of grille with opening on the housing and snap back into place If the filter grille is not properly inserted your air purifier may not turn on Ensure it is properly installed and there is no gap between grille and the housing NOTE If the odor reducing pre filter is used in lieu of the permanent washable pre filter it will need to be replaced approximately every 3 months CLEANING THE IFD FILTER The ifD filter should be cleaned approximately once every 3 months To clean the ifD filter e Turn the power off and unplug the air purifier e After removing the ifD filter from the air purifier follow the steps below to wash the ifD filter Rinsing e Rinse the filter with clean tap water Fig 9 e If the filter still appears dirty proceed to Washing otherwise proceed to Drying Washing e Remove the ifD filter from the unit e Fill a sink with lukewarm water and add a few drops of mild dish soap
