1. TBIRD INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Install T 22 T 30 or T 40 nozzle turrets If turret is already installed go to step 2 A Remove debris cover and insert nozzle turret into body A Rotate turret clockwise until threads connect A Pull up turret grip textured band and tighten turret w A e BUN Install nozzles in T 40 turret A If nozzle is already in turret pry nozzle retainer up with screwdriver A Push old nozzle out with screwdriver A Snap in new nozzle and retainer Flush circuit A Flushing through the lines prior to installation is recommended DO NOT flush with debris cover on A If you do not flush through the lines install nozzle turrets and remove internals from head s furthest from valve 4 Typical Circuits A To remove internals unscrew cap and pull out assembly A Flush circuit clear debris and reinstall internals Set left trip point Be sure water is turned OFF before setting FIXED left trip point A Pull up turret and turn it to the left trip point Caution If rotor does not turn easily to the left first turn it right to right trip point Then turn left to left trip point A Left trip point is marked by screw next to nozzle re tainer To change left trip point unscrew cap and pull out assembly Rotate internals to realign left trip point to desired position and reinstall in this position Screw on cap Fo2. r bottom inlet installations rotate case on riser to desired position Adjust Arc A Pull down vandal collar A Arc is pre set to 180 Subtract arc To add arc while sprinkler is turning left turn turret to left trip point Push down on turret and turn clockwise A To reduce arc while sprinkler is turning right turn turret to right trip point Push down on turret and turn counterclockwise A Move vandal collar back into slot Sprinkler rotation b 7 d Always turn head in the same direction the sprinkler is rotating Turning the head against the sprinkler s rotation may damage the sprinkler Rain Bird Sales Inc Customer Support Center 6640 S Bonney Ave Tucson AZ 85706 1 800 RAIN BIRD 520 434 6289 FAX 6
