1. To set the display press the MODE button until DS X is displayed The display will now stay on at all times DS 1 LCD display on at all times DS 2 LCD display shuts off after 10 seconds Master Slave Operation This function will allows you to link units together to run in a Master Slave mode In Master Slave operation one unit will act as the controlling unit and the others will react to the controlling units built in programs Any unit can act as a Master or as a Slave however only one unit can be programmed to act as the Master Master Slave Connections and Settings 1 Daisy chain your units via the XLR connector on the rear of the unit Use standard XLR microphone cables to link your units together Remember that the Male XLR connector is the input and the Female XLR connector is the ouput The first unit in the chain master will use the female XLR connector only The last unit in the chain will use the male XLR connector only 2 Set the Master unit to your desired mode or operation 3 For the Slave unit s set the display to DMX mode 3 or 3 Channel mode The display should read 3000 or any variables i e 3001 3002 etc 4 Connect the Slave unit or units and they will automatically start to follow the Master Sound Active Mode In this mode the ELED DW PAR56 will react to sound 1 Plug the fixture in and press the MODE button until 3 So is dis played 2 The fixture will

4. now change via sound Manual CW Cool White Adjust In this mode you are able to adjust the cool white color to your desired temperature 1 Plug the fixture in and press the MODE button until 4 XX is dis played 2 Adjust the cool white color by pressing the UP and DOWN buttons Manual WW Warm White Adjust In this mode you are able to adjust the warm white color to your de sired temperature 1 Plug the fixture in and press the MODE button until 5 XX is dis played 2 Adjust the warm white color by pressing the UP and DOWN buttons White Preset Mode In this mode you can select one of the already preset white color tem peratures Please see the next page for preset color temperatures 1 Press the MODE button until 6 XX is displayed 2 Press either the UP or DOWN buttons to choose your desired pre set white color temperature Strobe Mode Activate strobing and adjust the strobe rate 1 Press the MODE button until 7 XX is displayed 2 Adjust the strobe speed by pressing either the UP or DOWN but tons The speed can be adjusted from 7 01 the slowest to 7 20 the fastest Pulse Mode Activate pulsing and adjust the pulse rate 1 Press the MODE button until 8 XX is displayed 2 Adjust the pulse speed by pressing either the UP or DOWN but tons The speed can be adjusted from 8 01 the slowest to 7 16 the fastest DMX Mode Operating through a DMX controller gives t

12. ge will be returned to the shipper Power Supply The Elation ELED DW PAR56 contains an electronic ballast which will auto sense the voltage when it is plugged into the power source With the electronic ballast you do not need to worry about wall voltage this unit can be plugged in anywhere DMX 512 DMX is short for Digital Multiplex This is a universal pro tocol used as a form of communication between intelligent fixtures and controllers A DMX controller sends DMX data instructions from the controller to the fixture DMX data is sent as serial data that trav els from fixture to fixture via the DATA IN and DATA OUT XLR ter minals located on all DMX fixtures most controllers only have a DATA OUT terminal DMX Linking DMX is a language allowing all makes and models of different manufactures to be linked together and operate from a single controller as long as all fixtures and the controller are DMX compli ant To ensure proper DMX data transmission when using several DMX fixtures try to use the shortest cable path possible The order in which fixtures are connected in a DMX line does not influence the DMX addressing For example a fixture assigned a DMX address of 1 may be placed anywhere in a DMX line at the beginning at the end or anywhere in the middle When a fixture is assigned a DMX address of 1 the DMX controller knows to send DATA assigned to address 1 to that unit no matter where it is located in the DMX cha
