5. sports fe Compare Surf and Turf Jump Detection versus Big Motocross Terrain Altitude and see what works best for you Set your Base up at the landing zone and capture Skydiving yourself as you swoop in Shoot as wide as possible Downhill Sports Requires Camera Controller Accessory Sold separately ADVANCED SETTINGS BASE Manually Offset Your Centering Position While in Surf amp Turf Mode your Base will automatically adjust its tilt to keep your feet on an imaginary line separating the bottom third and middle third of the screen and centered horizontally While in Big Altitude Mode your Base will automatically adjust its tilt to keep your Tag in the center of the screen However you can use the PAN and TILT arrows to manually offset your position on the screen For example a kite boarder might want to offset their position towards the bottom of the screen so that their kite is included in the shot ONLY ADJUST YOUR CENTERING AFTER YOU HAVE COMPLETED STEP 9 NOTE any vertical offsets you make will ONLY be present in the current tilt mode For example shifting your position while in Surf and Turf Mode will not effect your position in Big Altitude Mode and vice versa ADVANCED SETTINGS BASE FED Calibrating in Big Altitude Mode Use the POWER and MODE buttons on your Base to set LED1 to RED and perform Setup Steps 5 amp 8 with the following alterations Step 5 Use wider framin

NGS BASE GREEN Wide Frame Mode Camera Controller automatically adjusts zoom AND tilt EIE Zoom Settings Only available when Camera Controller is connected to maintain a wide shot as the Tag moves closer to or farther away from the Base RED Medium Frame Camera Controller automatically adjusts zoom AND tilt to maintain a medium width shot as the Tag moves closer to or farther away from the Base MEDIUM ORANGE Tight Frame Mode Camera Controller automatically adjusts zoom AND tilt to maintain a tight shot as the Tag moves closer to or farther away from the Base NOTE The subject is less likely to stay centered in the frame as the shots get tighter Over aggressive zooming in some situations can cause the subject to periodically go out of the frame In Big Altitude Mode all of the zoom setting frame sizes are 50 larger than in the Surf amp Turf and Pan Only modes ADVANCED SETTINGS BASE Single Multi Settings Toggle to Multi Mode in order to track multiple Tags from the same Base B GREEN Single Mode default RED Multi Mode SEE PAGES 25 40 FOR DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF CREATING amp MANAGING MULTI SYSTEMS Single Base to Multiple Tags only available in Multi Mode Use this setting to tell the Base when to switch between Tags GREEN Closest Mode Base will follow 0 the closest Tag RED Fastest Mode Base will follow the fastest Tag ORANGE Follow Me Mode Allows a Tag

SE before cleaning Only use a clean dry cloth to clean e A the external surfaces of BASE Do no use liquid or aerosol cleaners on BASE Clean the TAG only by rinsing in fresh water The product should be cleaned only as recommended in this manual 2 Accessories Only use accessories recommended in this manual as all other accessories may be hazardous 3 Avoid magnetic or electric fields Do not use 50 05 2 close to TV transmitters portable communication devices or other sources of electric or magnetic radiation They may cause interference or permanent jamage to your SOLOSHOT2 4 Water and moisture ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD Do not expose BASE or CHARGER to wet environments The TAG is waterproof up to 10 ft but BASE and CHARGER are NOT waterproof or water resistant 5 The TYP60 0901500u Compact Power Adapter CHARGER should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the marking label AC100 to 240V If you are not sure of the power supply in your ome consult your local power company ONLY USE CHARGER AS DESCRIBED IN THIS INSTRUCTION MANUAL 6 Power Cord Protection The power cord of the CHARGER should be routed such that it is NOT likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against it Pay particular attention to plugs and the point from which the cords exit the product 7 Objects and Liquid Entry Never push objects of any kind into or through openings of BASE or TAG as they may touch dangerous vol

TASOLOSHOTZ Important Usage Instructions This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules Operation is subject to the following two conditions 1 This device may not cause harmful interference and 2 This device must accept any interference received including interference that may cause undesired operation This device meets the requirements for RF exposure to humans when worn on the upper arm or against the body In order to comply with FCC standards this device should not be used in any other application other than that described in this manual This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC rules Changes or modifications to the device not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user s authority to operate the equipment When the transmitter is worn on the body there may be increased risk of injury if the remote strikes a solid object or the ground The transmitter has been designed to be worn as an armband for use in surfing but for other sporting activities it may be preferable to be placed elsewhere such as on the outside of a helmet or attached to a vehicle if used in motor sports There is no one recommendation as it depends on the activity terrain aggressiveness of the activity and specific use By using SOLOSHOT user agrees to assume all risk and not hold Soloshot Inc liable for injuries or damages in any way NS WARNING CHOKING HAZARD CONTAINS SMALL PARTS KEEP OUT OF REACH OF
11. g since vertical tracking is less accurate Step 8 Walk for at least 100 150 steps prior to pairing with Base for best vertical tracking results NOTE If you calibrate in Surf amp Turf Mode you can toggle to Big Altitude Mode later but if you calibrate in Big Altitude Mode you should not switch to Surf amp Turf Mode because the Base will not track properly Go for a longer walkabout to improve tracking accuracy when using Base in Big Altitude Mode KEY TIP ADVANCED SETTINGS TAG Tag Record ON OFF Command By default your Tag broadcasts a record command as indicated by LED3 blinking RED You can tell your camera to go to standby by holding down the BUTTON for 2 seconds until LED3 blinks GREEN Remember RED record Your Base s tracking LED normally blinks GREEN like this blink blink blink blink blink blink When a Camera Controller is properly attached and your Base receives a record command the LED will switch to an extended single blink YOUR CAMERA WILL ONLY RESPOND TO THIS COMMAND IF 1 YOU ARE USING THE CAMERA CONTROLLER ACCESSORY 2 YOU ARE USING A SUPPORTED CAMERA 3 YOUR TAG IS IN RANGE Press and Hold to Toggle Recording ON OFF ADVANCED SETTINGS TAG ie Tag Hide Me Command LED3 will either blink RED camera recording or GREEN camera on standby when radio is ON You may turn OFF your Tag s radio at any time by quickly pressing the BUTTON twice LEDs 1 2 and 3 wil

13. i Mode LED4 RED and pair the desired Tags to the System as described on page 27 29 FILTER 1 Identify a Centering Object that will be visible from all the camera locations you wish to set up Example Manhole Cover 2 Walk over to the shared Centering Object with your warm Tag TOP WHITE SIDE UP facing the sky and after completing the 50 100 step walkabout press the BUTTON 4 times as described on pg 22 LEDs 1 2 and 3 on your Tag will flash GREEN with each button press and remain GREEN for 2 seconds after the fourth button press indicating you have stored the Centering Object s location for later use 3 Set up each Base as described in Steps 1 5 of the Cheat Sheet Once each Base is set up you can either follow the Pairing amp Calibration procedure described in Step 4 below or setup and calibrate each Base one by one according to the steps outlined in the Cheat Sheet 4 Perform the standard 50 100 step walkabout with your warm Tag Press and hold the 3 BUTTON on your Tag towards the end of your walk and until LED1 turns GREEN Continue pressing the BUTTON and while holding your Tag above your Camera TOP WHITE SIDE UP facing the sky Press the BUTTON on your Base The LEDs on the Base will flash RED for a few seconds and LED3 on your Tag will blink RED Once pairing AND calibration are complete the Tracking LED on the Base will blink GREEN The Base will start tracking the Tag after you ha
14. ing and GREEN when fully charged Note the Base MUST also be plugged in to charge a Tag Slide the dock button down to release the Tag Your Tag will be 80 charged after 1 5 hours 80 after 2 5 hours 90 after 4 hours and 99 after 5 hours at KEYTIP which point the charging LED will turn GREEN WARNING Make sure the Tag and Accessory Port are clean dry and clear of all debris before connecting FIRMWARE UPDATE Check SOLOSHOT com for the latest SOLOSHOT2 Base firmware updates You will be provided with files named SOLOSHOT ss2 and 002 ss2 Copy those files to a standard USB drive Hold Button down then tap the Power button while holding down M Button to put the Base in Update Mode LED 1 will flash RED GREEN indicating the Base is ready for Firmware Update Insert USB into the standard USB socket on the side of the Base LED 1 will turn solid ORANGE LED 2 will blink RED GREEN then LED 1 and 2 will turn off and LED 3 will blink RED GREEN The Base will then return to Default Mode where LED 1 2 and 4 will be solid GREEN indicating the Base Update is complete NOTE If your Base will not accept the firmware try starting with an empty and recently formatted USB drive The USB drive must be a USB 2 0 drive black inside the connector Check SOLOSHOT com for the latest SOLOSHOT2 Base firmware updates You will be provided with files named 001 ss2 Copy those files to a standard USB drive Hold B
15. l briefly turn GREEN then LED1 and LED2 will turn solid RED camera recording or solid GREEN camera on standby Repeat this procedure to power your Tag s radio back ON Press Two Times to Toggle Radio ON OFF TIP Need a rest Toggle radio off to save battery while keeping the Tag warm amp paired Filming in Multi Mode Use Hide Me Mode to momentarily hide a Tag from the Base Simply toggle the radio back on to rejoin the action ADVANCED SETTINGS TAG Tag Multi Mode Follow Me Command Tell all Bases set to Multi Mode Follow pg 34 to follow your Tag by 1 Quickly pressing the BUTTON will NOT automatically start recording 2 Tapping the TOP WHITE SURFACE surface of your Tag three times quickly will automatically start recording Press Once to Call Base LEDs 1 2 and 3 will flash GREEN before LED3 returns back to blinking RED camera recording or GREEN camera standby Look towards the Base for the blinking GREEN Tracking LED to confirm the Base is now pointing at you To ensure that the camera is always recording when pointed at your Tag keep your Tag in record mode LED3 blinking RED or use the tripple tap to call the camera automatically starts recording TIP Use the Tap to Call method so you don t have to look at your Tag or the BUTTON ADVANCED SETTINGS TAG After walking about with your warm Tag proceed to the Centering Object and Press the BUTTON

18. system Press amp hold the BUTTON on an already calibrated Base before pressing the BUTTON on the Tag you would like to add to the system LEDs 1 2 and 3 on the Tag will briefly turn GREEN then RED Release the BUTTONs and LEDs 1 2 and 3 will turn GREEN for 2 seconds followed by LED3 blinking RED Press and Hold on Base and Extra Tag Tag warm or solid RED Tag not yet warm Repeat for additional Tags that you would like to add to the system LTI SYSTEMS TIP You can add and remove Tags and Bases or even combine whole systems from nearby users easily Example you are filming at a location for an hour and then your friend shows up with their own SOLOSHOT2Z sets up and films for a while Eventually you want to join systems so at least one of the Bases films both of you Pair one of the Tags to the other Each Base will continue to track the Tag it was originally paired to but one of the Bases will track BOTH tags if you place it in Multi Mode If you want the other Bases to also track BOTH Tags you must pair that Base into the system no need to recalibrate and set it to Multi Mode To pair that Base to the combined system press and hold the Button on either Tag and then press the Button of the Base All 4 items will now share the same system ID and both Bases can track both Tags when placed in Multi Mode Keep reading for details MULTIPLE TAGS Turn Multi Mode ON Your Base by default is
