TRANSPORT By transport in car by plain or other means of transport always use the chairs brake The chair is not approved as a passenger seat In means of transportation and should not be used as such The chair withstands the following transport specifikations Temperature 40 C 40 F to 70 C 4156 F Humidity 15 95 Air pressure PPP up to 1000 meters 3280 ft above sea level 1 2 WARRANTY VELA provides warranty by the laws and regulations which are debt in the country the chair is bought in The warranty only applies when using original spare parts and accessories Modification may only be carried out by authorised service technicians VELA does not accept responsibility for damage or injury to the product or user which have arisen due to Transportation Misuse General wear and tear Incorrect use Use of non original spare parts and accessories Adjustments carried out by unauthorised service technicians 1 3 UNPACKING THE CHAIR VELA Tango is supplied in cardboard packaging developed with conside ration for the environment If there are any parts missing or transport damage to the chair plea se contact your dealer immediately Do not not try to repair any damage or use the chair Content of the cardboard packaging VELA Tango chair This user manual 1 4 MAINTENANCE We recommend your VELA Tango undergoes an annual service to find for example defective or worn p

DJUSTMENT OF SEAT HEIGHT VELA TANGO Adjust the seat height by pushing the front lever placed at your right hand 1 6 4 ADJUSTMENT OF SEAT TILT Adjust the seat tilt by pulling the middle lever placed at your right hand 1 6 5 ADJUSTMENT OF BACK ANGLE Adjust the back tilt by pulling the rear lever placed at your right hand 1 6 6 ADJUSTMENT OF BACK HEIGHT Adjust the back height by using the lever placed on the back of the chair Remember to tighten the handle again afterwards 1 6 7 ADJUSTMENT OF ARMREST HEIGHT Adjust by loosening the screw on the armrest bar and regulate the height of the armrest Remember to tighten the screw again 1 6 8 ADJUSTMENT OF ARMREST WIDTH Adjust by loosening the screw underneath the seat and regulate the width of the armrest Remember to tighten the screw again 1 6 9 BRAKE VELA Tango brakes by moving the lever on the side of the chair forward Unlock the chair by moving the handle back into upright position Note The brake can be moved by loosening the screw at the bottom of the brake lever remove the plastic knob on the opposite side hole and insert the brake lever Remember to tighten the handle again 1 6 10 ROTATION VELA TANGO OPTIONAL The seat is rotated by pulling up the forward handle on the left Side 1 6 11 ROTATION VELA TANGO EL OPTIONAL The seat is rotated by pushing down the forward handle on the right side Note Rotation is not standard on all configurat

7. l towers Note The push handle is also available in a configuration that can be adjusted in height Loosen the screw located in the middle of the rod Adjust the height Remember to tighten the screw 1 6 18 FOOT PEDAL FOR BRAKE OPTIONAL VELA Tango with foot pedal brakes by pressing the top part of the pedal forwards Unlock the chair by pressing the foot brake back in its original position Note The foot pedal can be mounted in left or right side at the back of the chair 1 6 19 ANGLE CONTACT OPTIONAL Mounted under the left or right armrest depending on the users needs Remember to place the plug in the correct aremrest see section 1 6 2 Note VELA Tango El also comes with height adjustment via hand box e g if care personnel should be able to adjust height 1 6 20 HAND BOX OPTIONAL The hand box is operated via buttons on the front An VELA hand box can have one or more functions See the hand box icons to see what functions the buttons operate Note insert plug in hand box to operate 1 6 21 ELECTRIC TILT OPTIONAL VELA Tango with electric tilt is adjusted in the right angle via hand box or angle contact Note The chair should not be used for transport of persons when the seat Is tilted 1 6 22 ELECTRIC BRAKE OPTIONAL VELA Tango with electric brake is braked and unlocked via hand box or angle contact The brake is hydraulic and it is adviced to fully braked unlocked when using this function N
