3. appear in the display when the unit is turned off e Press the DISPLAY button to view the time 12 OPERATION CONTINUED ADJUSTING THE VOLUME AND EQ Equalizer To adjust the main volume Press the VOLUME Up and or Down button to increase and or decrease the volume To adjust the EQ Equalizer Press the EQ button to cycle through the following options ROCK CLASSIC JAZZ POP or Normal without indicator MUTING THE SOUND To mute the sound press the MUTE button once MUTE will blink in the display Press again to restore the volume MUTE will disappear from the display NOTES After you have adjusted the volume setting if you turn the unit off and then on again the volume level will be set to the level you selected prior to turning the unit off For private listening plug in headphones into the Headphones jack on the rear of this unit The speakers will be disconnected when headphones are plugged in To turn this unit off press the STANDBY Power button 13 OPERATION CONTINUED INSERTING AN iPod Locate the correct iPod dock to use as shown on pages 28 29 Insert the dock A into the iPod compartment as shown making sure the dock s two tabs are facing front and slip the tabs into place Insert the iPod A onto the connector as shown Gently push down so the connector on the iPod slides onto
4. the play the Stop mode press the SHUFFLE button on the remote Random playback will begin automatically and RAND will appear in the display To stop Random playback press the STOP Band 8 button To just cancel Random playback press the SHUFFLE button until RAND disappears from the display 23 OPERATION CONTINUED TO PROGRAM THE MEMORY UP TO 20 TRACKS Programming is the ability to preselect the order in which a series of tracks will be played While in the Stop mode press the Clock Set Memory button PROG and P 01 the program number will blink in the display Select a track to be programmed using the Tune Skip Search 4 or gt gt button Press the Clock Set Memory button to memorize the track Repeat Steps 2 and 3 to program additional tracks up to a maximum of 20 tracks Press the PLAY PAUSE pb Il Mem Up button to begin program playback NOTE To clear the memory press to the STOP Band button once to stop playback and again to clear the program PROG will disappear from the display SEE NEXT PAGE FOR MORE NOTES ON PROGRAMMING THE MEMORY 24 OPERATION CONTINUED NOTES ON PROGRAM PLAYBACK You can review the program by pressing the Memory Clock Set button repeatedly while in the Stop mode To add a track to the program memory while in the Stop mode simply press the Memory Clock Se

21. short period of time the clock will stop but the time and radio presets will be saved When the power is resumed or the AC cord is connected again the clock time will continue running and the radio presets will have been saved However if the power failure lasts or the AC cord is disconnected long enough for the battery to weaken too much the clock will be reset and you will need to set the clock and radio presets again INSERTING THE BATTERIES Two 2 AA size batteries can also be used to provide a backup for the clock timer times and the presets as follows 1 Open the battery door the bottom of the unit by pushing in on the tab then removing the door 2 Insert two 2 AA batteries as shown Alkaline batteries are recommended for the longest playing time 3 Place the battery door back on the compartment NOTE The batteries are used to back up the clock timer times and presets when the AC cord is disconnected or there is a power failure IMPORTANT See BATTERY PRECAUTIONS on the next page POWER SOURCE CONTINUED REMOTE BATTERY INSTALLATION 1 Remove the Battery Compartment by pressing in on the tab and then sliding the compartment out 2 Install a CR2025 battery by popping it in through the back of the compartment paying attention to the polarity diagram in the compartment positive side up 3 Replace the Battery Comp
