1. m If this product is used in combination with other components of arescue fall arrest system users must acquaint themselves and comply with the enclosed documentation notes and instructions for these components prior to use This equipment should only be used in connection with parts of Personal Protective Equipment PPE bearing the CE symbol to protect individuals against falls from heights If original components are modified or removed from the product its function maybe impaired The equipment should not be modified or altered in any way to allow the attachment of additional parts without the manufacturer s written recommendation The equipment must be checked for possible damage before and after each use It must be ensured that the equipment is serviceable and fully functional The equipment must be discarded immediately if there is even the slightest doubt regarding the safety of the product WARNING The products must be kept away from harmful environments This includes contact with corrosive and aggressive substances e g acids alkalis soldering water oils cleaning agents as well as extreme temperatures and flying sparks In addition sharp edges wetness and icing can diminish the stability of textiles CLIMATE REQUIREMENTS The safe constant temperature range for the product in dry conditions ranges from approx 20 C to 55 C LIFESPAN AND REPLACEMENT The lifespan of the product depends mainly on2. Karabiner verriegelt sind Siehe Abb 6 R cklaufsicherungen Siehe Abb 7 Bei Auf und Abstiegen k nnen sich im Sturzfall die Rollenkarabiner in Bewegung setzen Um einen Aufprall zu vermeiden sind von jedem Betreiber vorsorglich R cklaufsicherungen zu installieren Bei vertikalen Auf und Abstiegen sind vom Betreiber geeignete Absicherungspunke einzurichten so dass die eingeleiteten Kr fte 6 kN nicht berschreiten Der Smart Belay Gurthalter wird zum Transport empfohlen Siehe Abb 8 Lange Haare bitte Zusammenbinden Siehe Abb 9 Anwendung DON T DO S Folgende Missachtung der Grundregeln zur richtigen Anwendung des Smart Belays k nnen zu Verletzungen oder Funktionsverlust des Systems f hren Diese Fehlanwendungen sind unbedingt zu unterlassen Sollte eine Fehlanwendung erfolgt sein ist unverz glich die Funktionsf higkeit des Produktes zu kontrollieren Bei Funktionsbeeintr chtigung des Produktes wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihren Vertriebspartner unser Fachpersonal oder Ihren Erbauer Gewaltsames ffnen der Karabiner ist zu unterlassen Siehe Abb 10 Wenn ein Karabiner ge ffnet ist ist mutwilliges gewaltsames ffnen des zweiten Karabiners zu unterlassen Die Maximalkraft welche auf den geschlossenen Karabiner wirken darf darf nicht gr er sein als die Kraft welche zum ffnen des bereits offenen Karabiners gebraucht wurde Vors tzliches Verdrehen des Verbindungsmittels ist zu unterlassen Siehe Abb 11 Vors

12. of the fall arrest system If the lanyard is supplied without karabiners and without shock absorbers please note the following A lanyard without shock absorbers according to EN 355 may not be used in a fall arrest system connectors karabiners for lanyards according to EN 354 must comply with EN 362 Prior to using a fall arrest system please ensure that the necessary free space in the work area unobstructed height of 7 m underneath the user is provided for Lanyards without shock absorbers are used as restraint systems for work positioning The range of motion of the user should be limited so that there is no possibility of him her entering a fall risk area LANYARDS FOR ADVENTURE AND ROPE PARKS ACCORDING TO EN 354 ADVENTURE AND ROPE PARKS Caution Use of this type of eguipment reguires that the impact forces on the steel cables in the Adventure Park do not exceed 6kN In fall risk areas the lanyard may only be used in conjunction with two simultaneously fastened karabiners Karabiners may only be moved from a secure position and must be done one after the other so that one karabiner is always clipped to the cable When using this system with harness according to EN 12277 the lanyard must be attached to the attachment point of the harness using an appropriate connection method such as a clove hitch see Figure 1 or karabiners according to EN 362 When using this system with a fall arrest harness according to EN 361 safe a

15. 26 m LEBENSDAUER UND AUSTAUSCH Die Lebensdauer des Produktes ist im Wesentlichen abh ngig von der Anwendungsart und h ufigkeit sowie von uBeren Einfl ssen Aus Chemiefasern Polyamid Polyester Dyneema Aramid hergestellte Produkte unterliegen auch ohne Benutzung einer gewissen Alterung die insbesondere von der St rke der ultravioletten Strahlung sowie von klimatischen Umwelteinfl ssen abh ngig ist Maximale Lebensdauer bei optimalen Lagerbedingungen siehe Punkt Lagerung und ohne Benutzung 12 Jahre GELEGENTLICHER GEBRAUCH Bei gelegentlicher sachgerechter Benutzung ohne erkennbaren VerschleiB und optimalen Lagerbedingungen 8 Jahre Bei kommerzieller Nutzung kann sich die Lebensdauer auf bis zu 2 Jahre reduzieren HAUFIGER ODER EXTREMER GEBRAUCH STURZBELASTUNG Nach einer Sturzbelastung Sturzfaktor gt 1 oder bei Besch digungen ist das PSA Produkt sofort dem Gebrauch zu entziehen und einer sachkundigen Person oder dem Hersteller zur Pr fung mit schriftlicher Best tigung dieser und oder ggf zur Reparatur zuzuf hren Grunds tzlich m ssen PSA Produkte ausgetauscht werden wenn z B bei Produkten mit Gurtb ndern die Gurtbandkanten besch digt oder Garne aus dem Gurtband gezogen sind Besch digungen Abrieberscheinungen der N hte zu beobachten sind oder ein Kontakt mit Chemikalien stattgefunden hat Instandsetzungen d rfen nur durch den Hersteller oder durch eine von ihm autorisiert
