2.  recommend rinsing your bar ends after repeated uses to maintain easy function of your adjustable  bar system     Tip  Each time you run out your lines to connect your kite we recommend that you check that your adjustable  bar ends are functioning properly along with your quick release before launching  If you notice that your bar  ends are difficult to remove  be sure to rinse and reapply lubrication to ensure full functionality  Failure to  maintain the adjustable bar ends may lead to corrosion and seizing of the moving parts        4 4 Line Management       Unwind your lines from your bar and lay them out parallel to each other  Starting at the bar  walk your lines out  making sure to remove all twists    You will notice that the line ends are colored Red White Grey  Red and Grey lines are your steering or BACK  lines and should always be connected to the back  or trailing edge connection points on their corresponding  sides of the kite  White lines with Blue pigtails are the FRONT lines and should always be connected to their  corresponding sides of the leading edge of the kite    To minimize line stretch   attach your lines evenly to a solid safe object   With your de power loop all the way  against the bar and sheeting system all the way out  powered up position   grab your bar and pull back with a  good amount of pressure  As you apply and release pressure  all lines should rise and lower evenly and the bar  should be perpendicular to the center lines  If this is not c

Final Safety   Leash release    In the event that the kite still has power  it will be necessary to  disconnect completely from the kite and leash     5   Safe state   Complete disconnect    To disconnect completely  grab the RED sleeved area labeled     Airush    and push away from where it is connected to your  harness in the direction shown by the arrows on the leash        CAYAIRUSH    AIRUSH COM   09    4 BAR SYSTEM CARE AND MAINTENANCE AN M CS       4 1 BRAIN Quick Release Disassembly       You may wish to disassemble your quick release to clean  customize  remove or replace parts  To do so   follow the steps below  An instructional video of the process may be found on the Airush  Youtube channel available through www  airush com    Required items    e Small size Phillips head screw driver   e Medium size Phillios head screw driver     Small flat head screw driver    IMPORTANT  Always note which screw came from which part of the quick release as each is unique in length  and shape  Take notes of how everything comes apart and it will make reassembly much easier        1   Undo and remove the screw on  the black plastic swivel using the  small Philips head screwdriver        3   Remove the elastic bungees from  the bottom of the housing on both sides  using the small flat head screwdriver        5   Unscrew the 3 screws that hold  the QR core together and remove         Be    2   Slide the black plastic swivel up  the depower line            4   Slide the release collar

12. ng  inflated  main strut down facing into the wind  The wind can cause the  trailing edge to flap loosely  If allowed to flap in this manner  the trailing edge material will begin to break  down and cause unwanted material stretch and deterioration along the trailing edge  which will drastically  decrease the kites    performance and lifespan       Periodically throughout the life of your kite  check all connection points and canopy for damage and make  sure to repair small tears as needed  Small tears can become large tears with one bad crash         SN AIRUSH AIRUSH COM      6 KITE CARE AND MAINTENANCE       6 2 Bladder Repair       For any major cuts or rips  make sure to consult your local Airush dealer or kite repair center for assistance   Before attempting any bladder repairs make sure your kite is clean and dry  Avoid repairing your kite on the  beach  on dirty or windy areas  A grassy clean place out of the wind area is preferred  Make sure to deflate all  bladders when doing repairs  You will need one of your flying lines  or an extra piece of line before you start  removing a bladder from the kite     Lay the kite out flat  struts facing up        1   Detach the Velcro closure at the 2   Next tie on an end of the extra line to  base of the damaged strut  This will the air valve of the strut being removed   open up the strut casing and allow you   to access the bladder     Gently push the valve down through its hole in the strut casing  Go to the end of the strut an

18. the bar is released  the AIRUSH V bridle system allows the front line tow points to rotate forward   allowing the kite pivot off the front lines into a flat powerless position when the bar is released in an emergency  situation  This is also extremely useful in self landing situations and allows for the security of controlled self     landings even in high wind situations           C  3AIRUSH alRusH com   ERY    5 AIRUSH KITES       5 2 Multiple Line Length System       Along the flying lines  the connection between sections are spliced together and stitched to keep a low profile   and a strong connection    Pigtail   line connection    e The same connection is used to connect the pigtail to the flying lines      By alternating the different length sections  the bar can be set up with line lengths of 24M  21M  18M   15M and 10M configurations        5 3 Proper Inflation       The AIRUSH V bridle system requires your kite to be propery inflated  Always pump your kite until firm or  around 6 PSI  Higher wind speeds and heavier riders may require higher inflation pressure  Under inflation can  cause canopy collapse and poor performance  If you find that your kite is folding along the leading edge  it is  likely under inflated    Note   The accuracy of the pump gauges can vary over time    The new Airush valve pump connection allows a better airflow  With the high inflation pressures required with  the new kites we recommend to always use the female adaptor on the pump to inflate
