File Icons a The New Folder should now be named CLARK COPYING EPA 2007 Update Files INTO WOODWARD DESKTOP FILE 8 9 10 11 Insert the MotoService TIER III Disc into the CD Drive of your computer A Allow approximately one 1 minute for the MotoService CD to load into your computer Click on the Start Menu Button in the lower left corner of your computer screen A Double Click on the My Computer Icon on the right side of the Menu Screen 1 The CD Drive of your Computer should now be named EPA 2007 Update B Double click on the EPA 2007 Update Icon 1 There should be ten 10 files that appear on you computer screen they are as follows A ECUFiles B KVASER amp Token Update Software C INSTRUCTIONS D setup EXE E MI 07 Tier IHI Manual 4 3L F MI 07 Service training June 22 G MI 07 Tier III Manual 2 0 2 4 Mits H MI 07 User Manual I Clark Wiring Diagrams 8 28 07 J DFC_List_Clark Go to the top left side of your computer screen and click on the word Edit A Scroll down the Edit Menu and click once 1 on the Select All Option 1 All ten 10 files of the EPA 2007 Update Menu should become highlighted IMPORTANT If you do not see the Select All Option scroll down to the bottom of the Edit Menu Screen and click on the down arrow the whole Edit Menu should appear B Go to the top left side of your computer screen and click on the word Edit 1 Scr2. the PCM 1 and SECM 1 Options in the Pull Down Menu 1 In order to use MIO7_RevK you must have selected PCM 1 in the Location Field a To select either PCM 1 or SECM 1 just click on it one 1 time 2 In order to use MI_04_Diagnostic_Display_revf you must have selected SECM 1 in the Location Field a To select either PCM 1 or SECM 1 just click on it one 1 time b Click the Next button at the bottom of the Menu Screen 3 The Upgrade Options Window should appear as shown below Upgrade Options Device Calibration ID VARS PEEDRBAI_01_2_5 Cnf_0_000 Calibrations eligible for the upgrade CalibrationID Location Details VARSPEED C ECUFiles Updates VARSPEEDRBAI_01_2 5 Cnf_0_000 mfu C ECUFiles Updates ARSPEEDRBAK_0O _Cnf _0_000 mfu a The current programming of the Truck Control Module is listed in the Device Calibration ID Box b The available Updates are listed in the Calibrations eligible for the upgrade Box 1 The number in the Device Calibration ID Box should match the numbers in the Calibrations eligible for the upgrade Box 2 If the numbers match click on the Cancel Button at the bottom of the Menu Screen PAGE 6 of 9 Installing WOODWARD TIER II Updates and TIER III Software A The Upgrade Options Menu will close and you are now ready to use the MotoViewer Software on your Lift Truck 3 If the numbers in the Device Calibration ID Box DO

Installing WOODWARD TIER II Updates and TIER III Software Revised 9 6 07 IMPORTANT Itis STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that you completely read and understand these Software Installation Instructions before attempting to install or update the Woodward TIER II and TIER III Software IMPORTANT TIn order to install and run this software the Operating System of your computer must be Windows 2000 XP or Vista the software WILL NOT work with a Windows 98 or older Operating System PREPARATION 1 Turn on and completely Boot up your computer 2 Look in the lower right corner of your Computer Screen for the ECU Server Icon Satellite Dish A If the Satellite Icon is there right mouse click on the icon and select Exit from the menu screen 1 Proceed to Step 3 B If the Satellite Icon is not there proceed to step number 3 UNINSTALL WOODWARD MOTOSERVICE PROGRAM 3 Click on the Start Menu Button in the lower left corner of your computer screen A Double click on the Control Panel Icon in the right hand column B Scroll down through the menu selection and double click on the Add or Remove Programs Icon C Scroll down through the Programs Menu and select the MotoService Program 1 Click on the Change Remove Button this will start the InstallShield Wizard a Select the Remove Option in the InstallShield Wizard Menu 1 Click on the Next Button on the right side bottom of the InstallShield Menu a The InstallShie

NOT MATCH the numbers in the Calibrations eligible for the upgrade Box the Truck Control Module may need to be updated IMPORTANT BEFORE UPDATING THE TRUCK CONTROL MODULE CONTACT CLARK SERVICE ENGINEERING 1 859 422 6423 IN CERTAIN SITUATIONS UPDATING THE TRUCK CONTROL MODULE MAY RENDER THE MODULE UNUSABLE 4 If CLARK Service Engineering has approved the Updating of Truck Control Module Software you will also be told what Software Update to select from the Calibration eligible for upgrade Box Follow the procedure listed below A Click once on the Upgrade Software recommended by CLARK Service Engineering 1 This will highlight the software B Click the Next Button at the bottom of the Upgrade Options Menu C The MotoUpdate Menu Screen will appear as below warning you not to interrupt the programming process once it begins Once the programming process begins it must run to completion If power is interrupted or the process fails the PCM may be rendered unuseable Do you wish to proceed 1 Click on the OK Button at the bottom of the MotoUpdate Menu Screen a The Software is now being uploaded to the Truck Control Module D After the Software has been completely uploaded the Complete Menu Screen will appear as below 2 Complete The Upgrade was successful Select the option of upgrading again or quitting below Upgrade again PAGE 7 of 9 Installing WOODWARD TIER II Upda

Screen The next Add Hardware Menu Screen will be the Completion Screen 1 Click the Finish Button at the bottom of the Add Hardware Menu Screen 2 The Add Hardware Menu will finish installing updating the Kvaser Virtual CAN Driver or the Crypt Token and the Add Hardware Menu Screen will close FOR THE KAVASER CAN USB A Click on the Start Menu Button in the lower left corner of your computer screen 1 Double click on the Control Panel Icon in the right hand column a c c d e Scroll down through the menu selection and double click on the Add Hardware Icon The Add Hardware Wizard Menu will appear on your computer screen 1 Click the Next Button at the bottom of the Add Hardware Menu Screen The next Add Hardware Menu Screen will ask you if the Hardware is connected select the Yes I have already connected the hardware option 1 Click the Next Button at the bottom of the Add Hardware Menu Screen The next Add Hardware Menu Screen will ask you to select the Installed Hardware 1 Scroll down the Installed Hardware List and select the Kvaser USB can Rugged or Kvaser Leaf Light HS this is the Kvaser CAN USB 2 Click the Next Button at the bottom of the Add Hardware Menu Screen The next Add Hardware Menu Screen will be the Completion Screen 1 Click the Finish Button at the bottom of the Add Hardware Menu Screen 2 The Add Hardware Menu will finish installing updating the Kvaser

9. n process As the InstallShield Wizard works through the installation process it will present to you a number of Menu Screens any time a Menu Screen appears click on the Next or Yes Button at the bottom of the Menu Screen a During the Installation Procedure an InstallShield Wizard Menu Screen for Customer Information may appear when if it does we recommend you type the Dealership Name into both the User and Company Names b During the Installation Procedure an InstallShield Wizard will ask if you would perfer Shortcuts for the Diagnostics Programs placed on your Desktop we recommend you answer NO and do not allow these Shorctcuts to be placed on your Desktop B The last Menu Screen you should see will tell you the InstallShield Wizard has finished installing OR performing maintenance operations on MotoService on your computer 1 Click on the Finish Button at the bottom of the Menu Screen a The InstallShield Wizard will finish installing the Woodward MotoService Software and the InstallShield Wizard Menu Window will close 15 The Woodward MotoService Software has now been installed onto your computer A To complete the installation Turn Off and Restart your computer UDATING THE CRYPT TOKEN AND KVASER CAN USB 16 Insert the Crypt Token into an available USB Port on your computer A A Pop Up Window may or may not appear on your Desktop Screen indicating the computer has detected New Hardware 18 Insert the Kva
10. oll down the Edit Menu and click once 1 on the Copy Option a All ten 10 files of the EPA 2007 Update CD should now be copied to your computer clipboard IMPORTANT If you do not see the Copy Option scroll down to the bottom of the Edit Menu Screen and click on the down arrow the whole Edit Menu should appear In the top right hand corner Blue Section of the EPA 2007 Update Menu Screen click on the X and close the EPA 2007 Update Menu PAGE 2 of 9 Installing WOODWARD TIER II Updates and TIER III Software 12 On your computer Desktop Screen double click on the Clark File Icon A This will bring up the empty CLARK Menu 13 Go to the top left side of the CLARK Menu Screen and click on the word Edit B Scroll down the Edit Menu and click once 1 on the Paste Option C All of the EPA 2007 Update Files should now be copied into the Woodward File IMPORTANT If you do not see the Paste Option scroll down to the bottom of the Edit Menu Screen and click on the down arrow the whole Edit Menu should appear 1 All ten 10 files of the EPA 2007 Update CD are now in the CLARK File on your Desktop INSTALLING THE EPA 2007 Update Files INTO YOUR COMPUTER 14 Double click on the setup exe Icon in the CLARK File Menu on your desktop A This will start the InstallShield Wizard 1 The MotoService TIER III Program will install into your computer without any modification to the installatio
11. properly 1 You can start the Lift Truck to ensure the software is monitoring the Lift Truck F Click the X in the top right corner of all Menu s and close all Menu Screens to exit the Software PAGE 8 of 9 Installing WOODWARD TIER II Updates and TIER III Software ENSURING THE WOODWARD TIER IT SOFTWARE HAS BEEN PROPERLY RE INSTALLED WITH ALL UPDATES IMPORTANT The KAVASER CAN USB AND the CRYPT TOKEN must be connected to the Computer and to a TIER II or TIER I CLARK Lift Truck in order to check the software 1 Click on the Start Menu Button in the lower left corner of your computer screen A Highlight the All Program Option at the bottom of the Start Menu Screen 1 The Programs Menu will appear on your computer screen 2 Scroll down the Programs Menu to the MotoService Program a The MotoService Menu will appear as shown below or similar to it to the right of the Programs Menu amp MI_4_Diagnostic_Display_revF mMotoUpdate 4 MotoViewer MIO 7_RevK dis B Double Click on the MotoViewer File after a few seconds the MotoViewer Menu will appear IT WILL BE EMPTY 1 Make sure the correct Truck Control Module has been selected TIER II is SECM 1 in the Welcome Screen Menu of the MotoUpdate Menu C Go to the top left side of your computer screen and click on the word File D Scroll down the File Menu and select the Open Option the Files contained in the MotoViewer Folder w
