Diagram 7 5 5 5 6 14 Once the silk has been freed from the bar it can be placed at the bottom of the interior of the appliance whilst work is carried out on the various components Refit the silk in reverse ensuring the mark lines up with the bottom of the bracket 6 Replacing the Remote Sensor 6 1 Follow Section 4 to remove the decorative screens 6 2 Disconnect the sensor lead and carefully move to one side see Diagram 8 6 3 Using a pair of long nosed pliers squeeze the clips that hold the sensor to the back of the appliance in order to release 6 4 Remove the sensor and replace as required f Accessing the Internal Components All Models 7 1 To access it will be necessary to remove the decorative screens see Section 4 7 2 Remove the screws securing the side panels note the Studio 22 has 5 screws compared to the other models which have 4 see Diagram 9 7 3 Remove the single screw at the top of the appliance on the outer edge of each side e 4 ee Fire Your Imagination Servicing Instructions 7 4 Carefully lie the appliance on its back and remove the 2 7 7 Disconnect the following cable from the rear of the Plug screws on each side of the bottom edges see Diagram 10 Socket Neutral see Diagram 13 7 5 Stand the appliance back up right and carefully open the 2 Neutral Blue gt s sides outwards to reveal the electronics see Diagram 11 7 8 Feed the Remote Sensor thr

The Studio 2 and 3 have 3 brackets bracket When removing the screws it will be necessary to support Remove the bolts and washers and place safely to one side the air deflectors and then place safely to one side before continuing see Diagram 22 10 3 There is an additional set of brackets on each side of the appliance see Diagram 19 End of bracket 11 2 Once the screws are removed it is now possible to lift the silk assembly off the lower assembly bracket revealing the Remove the bolts and washers from these brackets and fans store carefully with the others Replace in reverse order 10 4 Turn the appliance over It is now possible to remove the Fan Silk and LED 11a Replacing the LED assembly see Diagram 20 l Effect Boards Studio 3 shown To remove the lower assembly follow the steps in Section 10 The LED boards are mounted in front of the Silk Effect see Diagram 23 Take care not to trap the silk when refitting the assembly it is delicate and can be easily damaged 11 Removing the Silk Bracket 11 1 The bracket holding the silk effect and the LED boards is attached to the lower assembly bracket by screws This number will vary depending on the appliance see Diagram 21 11 3 Disconnect the wire connectors and push down in the centre of each plastic pegs to release the board from the bracket see Diagram 24 Lido as Yo Fire Servicing ur Imagination 11 4 The boards are
5. away from the appliance in order to remove carefully see Diagram 4 The screens can be removed together or individually Do not bend the screens at an extreme angle as this may cause them to break Studio 2 Model 4 3 4 4 shown There are 2 screens The Outer Effects Screen has a screen print pattern which must face the appliance when replacing The Inner Effects Screen has a matt finish on one side which must face inwards to the appliance when replacing Effects Screen Outer Decorative Screen Carefully set screens to one side to avoid damage 13 tr 4 Your Imagination Servicing Instructions 5 Removing the Silk Effect All models 5 3 5 4 In order to access and carry out servicing to many internal parts it is easier to remove the Silk Flame Effect To do this First remove the effects screens see Section 4 It is now possible to access the interior of the appliance The silk is held by a clamp at the top of the appliance Remove the screws securing the top part of the clamp number will very depending on appliance see Diagram 6 Studio 2 i S Lift off the top part of the clamp and place carefully to one side The Silk Effect is stuck to the bar This can be easily pulled off Note There is a mark on the silk to denote the position it must be replaced on the bar to correctly produce the flame effect It is vital the silk is replaced exactly as it was removed see
6. correctly in the remote control Maintenance of Motors The motors used on the fan and flame effect are pre lubricated for extended bearing life and require no further lubrication However periodic cleaning vacuuming of the fan heater unit is recommended Resetting the Thermal Cutout Switch The appliance is fitted with an Electronic Safety Control E S This is a safety device which switches off the fire if the appliance overheats for any reason e g when covered If the heater stops operating whilst the flame effect continues normally this indicates that the E S Control is in operation The E S Control can only be re set after the appliance has cooled down To re set the E S Switch off the appliance Manual On Off switch and leave for approximately 10 15 minutes Remove any obstruction to the fan heater outlet or other internal parts Switch on appliance and the E S Control will re set Ensure that the appliance is functioning correctly If the E S Control operates again the appliance should be checked by a competent Electrician Fire our Imagination Servicing Instructions 4 Removing the Screens All Models 4 2 Unscrew one of the side brackets and the top bracket that hold the screens in place on the front of the engine see Diagram 3 Studio 1 Model shown Frame Brackets Loosen or remove the remaining brackets if necessary to allow easy removal of the 2 screens Pull the exposed corner
7. top see Diagram 6 Right Hook Left Hook 2 12 Lift the engine onto the bracket Insert the hooks into the slots on the back of the engine and secure with two screws at the base of the bracket 2 13 Attach the power cord to the engine and secure the power cord cover with the screws provided see Diagram 7 Power cord HANDLE WITH CARE THE PAINT SURFACE OF DECORATIVE FRAMES CAN MARK WHEN HANDLING ALWAYS WEAR THE GLOVES PROVIDED DURING INSTALLATION 2 14 Insert the hooks on the back of the frame into the slots on the front of the engine and lower to secure in place see Diagrams 8 amp 9 Frame Brackets Slots for frame Verve Frame The Verve frame is supplied with a bag of optional decorative stones These may be placed on the lip at the bottom of the frame in front of the effects screens and do not affect the operation of the appliance Gizro Fire Your Imagination Installation Instructions 11 Dido Fire Your Imagination Servicing Instructions 1 Fault Finding No illumination or uneven lighting 1 1 Check the fan is working If YES one or more of the LED boards will need replacing This must be undertaken by a suitably qualified person see Servicing Requirements 1 2 If NO first change the 13amp fuse for one known to work If the fire still does not work check the socket by plugging in a working appliance If this too fails to operate call ina competent electrician to ch

16. connections are put back in exactly the same configuration as was originally found 16 9 Replacing the Thermostat Control Board 9 1 Remove the screws on the side of the appliance with the control panel and open to reveal the PCB unit and the thermostat control board 9 2 Undo the screws on the back of the board and unclip the connector to remove the board see Diagram 17 9 3 Replace in reverse order 10 Accessing the Lower Assembly Bracket The appliance has several effects which may need to be serviced including LED Boards and fans which are housed in the lower assembly bracket Before being able to access the effects it is necessary to remove The Effects Screens see section 4 The Silk Effect see Section 5 Disconnect the Remote Sensor see section 6 The appliance sides see section 7 Once these have been removed carefully lie the appliance face down with the top facing away 10 1 The Silk Flame effect and the LED boards and fans are held to the body of the appliance by several bolts and brackets see Diagram 18 Studio 3 Shown ee lt n P amp Yo Fire Servicing Instructions ur Imagination 10 2 The number of brackets will vary depending on the Studio Note The Studio 2 and 3 have air deflectors that are part of model purchase this bracket assembly The deflectors are held in place by The Studio 1 and 22 have 2 brackets the screws that hold the silk bracket to the lower assembly
17. d by 2 screws on the base of the lower assembly bracket see Diagram 29 29 12 4 With the screws removed lift the bar off and unhook the foam filter from under the tabs 12 5 Replace in reverse order 18 13 Replacing the Heating Element All Models 13 1 Before removing the element follow Section 4 Removing the Decorative Screens and remove the top screen bracket 13 2 Open the side panels Section 7 13 3 Remove the 4 screws on the top which secure the element cover see Diagram 30 13 4 Remove the screws on the back which secure the flame effect bracket see Diagram 31 13 5 The flame effect can now be detached from the back of appliance and placed out of the working area see Diagram 32 13 6 Lie the appliance flat on it s back once more and remove the 2 screws in the front of the appliance that hold the element in place Gizro Servicing 13 7 Ensure that the element is supported lift the appliance upright and lower the element bracket see Diagram 33 a WAZ LLL 77 EE 13 8 Carefully remove the wires on the right hand side using long nosed pliers making note of the wiring positions see Diagram 34 NI T L 13 9 Remove the 2 screws on the underside of the element bracket 1 at each end see Diagram 35 13 10 Taking a wire cutter carefully cut the 3 cable ties that hold the black wire of the element in place see Diagram 36 CAUTION DO NOT CUT THE WIRE

19. ers CLEANING FRONTS 5 3 Wipe the front with a damp cloth and buff with a lint free duster Caution Do not use abrasive cleaners on the glass panel Do not spray liquids directly onto any surface of the unit CLEANING AIR INLETS 5 4 Ensure the appliance is unplugged 5 5 Clean the air inlet and outlet grilles regularly with a soft cloth or the nozzle of a vacuum cleaner Air Outlets Dust build up can inhibit efficient performance of the fan and lead to the safety cut out operating 5 6 Keep the area around the appliance clean and free of fluff dust or pet hair 5 7 In particular build up of dust etc can occur around the heater area at the top of the appliance Take particular care to keep this area free from such particles on a regular basis to prevent build up BATTERY REPLACEMENT 5 8 When the remote batteries are low they must be changed immediately Install correct replacement and dispose of the old batteries carefully Note If the appliance is to be left for a long period of time ensure it is switched off and the power cord removed iv Fire Your Imagination Installation Instructions Technical Specification These instructions cover the following models 223 802 223 837 223 884 This appliance has been certified for use in countries other than those stated To install this appliance in these countries it is essential to obtain the translated instructions and in some cases the appliance
20. ess the On Off button to turn off ALL settings and return to Standby The appliance should be turned off via the On Off switch when it is not in use Thermostatic Control 2 21 The appliance is fitted with a thermostat This is located on the right hand panel of the appliance Diagram 1 The thermostat can control the room temperature between approximately 9 C and 34 C The edge of the thermostat control dial is numbered 1 9 with 1 being the coolest setting and 9 being the warmest If the room temperature is too high turn the thermostat dial in an anti clockwise direction If the room temperature is too low turn the dial in a clockwise direction Thermal Safety Cutout The appliance is fitted with a thermal safety cutout which operates if it overheats If this happens 2 22 Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool for 5 10 minutes 2 23 Check the air inlets outlets for any obstruction and clear if necessary see Maintenance Section 5 5 2 24 Plug in appliance and switch it on The cutout will re set and the appliance should function correctly If this is not the case 2 25 Unplug once more and have the fire checked by a competent electrician 3 Anti Vibration Clips In order to improve the performance of the appliance the addition of rubber mounts that reduce any possibility of vibration noise occurring when a frame has been attached have been designed The appliance is supplied with six rubber mounts that cu
21. held on by plastic pegs see Diagram 25 11 7 Each fan is secured to the lower assembly bracket by 4 screws To remove the fan remove the screws see Diagram 27 Screws Screws Rubber Pad Rubber Pad Plastic Peg Pressing down the middle of these pegs with a pointed tool will release the board Note There are rubber pads between the fans and the 11 5 Fitin the reverse order lower assembly bracket to dampen any vibration These are held by the same screw that attaches the fan to the bracket The pads must be carefully removed and replaced with the 11b Replacing the Silk Effect Hew ram 12 Replacing the Foam Filter It is not possible to adjust the position of lower fixings Do not remove the effect from the clamp The silk flame effect is factory set 12 1 With the fans exposed it is possible to also replace the protective foam filter at the front of the lower assembly 11c Replacing the Fans IRC 12 2 The foam filter is held in place by a bar at the bottom of the To access the fan housing it is necessary to carefully follow assembly and tabs on the sides see Diagram 28 Section 10 to remove the lower assembly bracket With the Silk Assembly removed the fans can now be replaced 11 6 To remove the fans it is necessary to first unplug the connectors that link them together Carefully pull off the cable and leave to one side see Diagram 26 Bar securing filter 12 3 The bar holding the filter is secure
